Contact nearest museum who may be interested in displaying old coins.

Go to the nearest junkyard, never heard things like museums and pawn shops in India lol
BTW, My father too has a collection of some 300 coins and after much research we reached the above conclusion only
Now we hope to sell them or giveaway if we visit abroad sometime

If you have knowledge about it you can get value, or else the person you are selling will look at you more than the coins and would say no value or Rs 10 – 20 likewise as per your knowledge of your possession .

I too have many such coins even older.

Keep it with you why sell , let time come , as the older it gets, its value us going to appreciate depending on its availability in market.

People can price their item however they want to, real thing is, does someone pay them 10-20 or 50k for such coins?

@rikeezx assuming you to have legal ownership/claim on those, and your amateur talk … I can respond.
(still the curiosity remains about title and ownership, considering 250 coins in the hands of someone not even aware could only be inheritance, some business/shop… or toungueout looted booty)
.
numismatic collections can both be a hobby or a serious profession.
.
you, surely aren’t in either category (fair guess on my part)
and probably also not in need of money.
↑↓
so can i suggest, if time and life permit, why don’t you attend at-least two three big exhibition cum sale events in a big city to get the hang of it.
.
something you might hear there or from other proper resources is: that;
the value lies
in its rarity
condition (how mint or otherwise the voin is)
↑↓
i highly recommend you to educate your first, via interactions with collectors or if you luck permits, sitting through auctions (if at any exhibition).
and DEFINITELY NOT CONSIDER Olx Quicker or such forums as a price discovery tool.
.
I’ve ginnis that our grandparents ended up using as part of rings or jewelry and we would never ‘sell’ them (sentimental reasons).
even though gold and from Aurangzeb era.
.
about fair price and opportunistic cheating… 7-8 years back (in a Indian metro) where exhibitors from Lahore, Karachi too were there, I casually showed the 1979 proof set (RBI, Bombay mint) to a local dealer and he quoted 4500 or thereabouts.
.
i was with an acquaintance who chatted up this marble crafts dealer from Karachi and thus I asked him which of the coin sellers might be more genuine and got two generic references of two local stalls (one Hyderabad based fellow and another probably a Punjabi from Amdavad)
.
luckily both had the 1979 proof sets.. almost in mint condition and were selling it at about 7000+
I obviously posed aa a customer and taunted “why this much margin”
both dealers (different areas, stalls far apart) said.. aap aisa la dou, panch hazaar mein le lunga.. if you’ve (a mint condition 1979 proof set) will take it at 5000,
when I showed them the one I had and started walking away, they eben upped the offer slightly.
.
a proof set is when the Central bank (or a specific mint on their behalf) brings out a box set with one specimen each of various coins released in that year). For example https://www.icollector.com/Republic-India-Proof...
.

mind you: age is not the same thing as rare.
.
sorry to say, even if your coins are in grade 1 condition.. the ones you showed here are NOT at all that rare.
better just use them for gifting to younger generations.
.
not promoting anyone or have vested interest.. but if ever you get some serious s|—|it or in general want any guidance.
you can try reaching out to http://google.com/search?q=Dr+Basant+Bagdi+akol...
pretty chilled out person, no reference needed. one can simply say one needs guidance about numismatic collection.
.
there might be many others, but I’ve known him to be crazy maverick in the field. seen stuff that.. well best not to speak.
if need alternate then https://www.google.com/search?q=Dr+Vandana+Basa... but she😠😠 is a gazetted 🐕beach
