As the title asks. Looking to purchase a device for my old mother, who uses a top-notch smartphone for last 3-4 years, a Nokia 215 or something. Now I am confused whether to get her a cheap entry level android device or simply a Jio phone. I looked up some reviews on Amazon on Jio phone and it looks like the device is utter shite, like even the simple tasks like inputting a number on the phone lags and all that! LoL. All the Jio phones are made by this LAVA company right? That alone should be enough to absolutely avoid it but still wanted to ask you fellas.

And in that case which entry level android device should be best? I didn’t want to buy any Redmi stuffs ever, but looks like no other good options are left. I would prefer a SD processor on the phone and small screen size and also it should be root-able (don’t ask why), user replaceable battery should be preferred but I am sure that’s not gonna happen. Again, entry-level phone I am looking for, like if it costs 4999 it would be better LoL.

Redmi Go or Zenfone Lite, yeah OK. I shortlisted those two myself. Which one outta those two have better call quality and loudspeaker volume? That’s really important. I need the phone to be very loud while ringing LoL, and the earpiece sound too should be loud. You know, old people, and they need those things, even I do to be quite honest.

I can up my budget to 5999, if that brings in any much better phones.

Zenfone lite L1 is quite louder than redmi go. After 3 updates and adjust the treble to 68

Okay thanks bro. I’m going with it. I wanted that Max M1 one, but for whatever reason it shows out of stock for my pin code! The only thing better on it seems to be the battery capacity though and storage space though. All these devices are so big damn it! Disgusting!
