Need help from dimers on how to avoid accounts getting blocked because of multiple logins from the same device.
Me and my brother want to exchange our phones but we fear our accounts in paytm , mobikwik , crownit , payzapp (just got to know they block too) etc maybe blocked as both devices will be detected for multiple account usage.
Help if there is any work around for this?
Paytm won’t block I guess for only 2 different logins
Mobikwik..U know

No rooting done but do use same card in all accounts.
Crownit has a one phone one login policy for sure and you get a pop up if you try to use another account.
My worry is paytm freecharge mobikwik olamoney

You seriously don’t use more than one Paytm account on any device?
To answer your query…
Paytm – Never.
Ola / Freecharge – Not just for two accounts.
PayZapp – May do.
Mobikwik – Definitely.

Mobikwik cn block as soon as you load money
I suggest
Donot use app instead use their mobile site or website in incongit mode
Or keep using ur brothers acc
Do one thing as u are exchanging phones don’t uninstall apps from your and yours brothers phone. Let you use your brothers account in his phone and he can use yours in yours phone(this can be applied in Mobikwik and payzapp) . And for Freecharge and Paytm you can swap accounts as they don’t block accounts as per my experience.
P.S. – I am using one account of Mobikwik in my one phone which is without simcard. So whenever otp is required I entered it manually of which phone numbers account is made.

MobikDik sometimes blocks even on sim change – happened with me once. Be careful

I am using without sim
Have logged in multiple accounts for all the merchants u mentioned
Got problem only in OLA and UBER as they cancel your referrals n promotions
Rest all should be fine as i never faced problem with these, though mobikwik can create issue on more than 2 accounts( as seen in DD posts)
A question related to same topic.
Do companies track laptop/desktop logins too?
Can I access all accounts from same laptop?

None of these wallets AFAIK. But you may be restricted to use the same offer from multiple accounts.
Have heard Amazon can track anything if they want to.

You should clear cookies(specific to the site in question) of the browser after each login and also stop and re-start data. This way most probably you’ll be assigned new IP address each time by your ISP making them difficult to track you.
N.B – It might not work for broadband connection as they usually assign you static IP address.

On mobile browser / pc browser they cant do much to track u They track u by cookies so delete cookies and cache every time u login with another acc
They can also read device information like ur mobile brand and model and ur ip
Theh can track via ip but i dnt think they do it bcoz multiple users cn be sharing same wifi connection

PS its very less likely dat u will face issue if u login via browser and keep clearing brower data
Thanks a lot. Kg to both

Yes, they can and they do. Apart from the obvious cookie based detection (which could be easily subverted by using your browser’s private/incognito mode), they have many other identifiers to help them detect multiple accounts being used from the same PC.
Example identifiers: IP address (VPNs can also be circumvented to detect your real IP), user agent, resolution, viewport size, browser fingerprinting, etc.
Then there are the automated pattern recognition and machine learning tools which are being adopted at a huge pace (if not already in place) to counteract the menace of multiple accounts by the same user.
By the way, for wallets, you should note that RBI allows only one account per individual. So you are not just breaking a wallet provider’s T&Cs by creating more than one account.
I agree that if they are hell bent to track u they can , but most of the wallets are only tracking usr via cookies( on browser). As far is ip is concerned they are not tracking u via ip bcoz multiple users cn be sharing same ip if they are on same wifi .
browser fringerprinting or super cookies cn get u tracked but question is if they are using such measures.

Yes, they are. Moreover, Mobikwik very popularly blocked accounts just because people were sharing the same WiFi (i.e. IP address). And, yes, I know it’s ridiculous to do so. My thoughts on blocking accounts because of same IP address: https://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/t...
It’s best to take some precautions.
1. Always use these sites with vpn. (Pssst… Opera browser has free 256-bit security vpn for free now.)
2. Use incognito mode.
3. For ultra-sensitive a-holes like mobikwik complete your kyc. I use two mobikwik accounts on same laptop/mobile/IP but both has KYC verified and haven’t been blocked since 2-3 years.
