Hi,
I am 32 year old male, I am doing workout since the age of 23, that time I had perfect body shape (i.e Weight 78kg).
I have stopped eating all kind of junk food, still I am not loosing weight. My current weight is 85-86kg, height: 177, waist:35, Fat : 21-22%. Going gym 5 days a week, doing cardio of 20min on speed of 5-6 plus all upper body exercises. 90min gyming, But now I look like Govinda, Sunny deol (i.e Actor). I look bulky. My shoulder, arms looke perfect. But most bad looking part of my body is belly area.
Neither I smoke, nor alcohol.
My current daily diet is like this :
7am : Lukewarm water (with dabur honey, wheatgrass powder, lemon, Apple cider vinegar)
7:30: Gym with 200mg caffeine pills as pre workout
9:30: Mixed Juice 1 glass ( amla, apple,carrot, beetroot, orange)
10am: Breakfast (4brown bread, butter, 2egg omelette, 1cup tea with jaggery) (sometime oats with milk)
12pm: one small apple, (sometime 1pc Kachodi outside office once/twice a week)
2pm : Lunch (2 plain roti, daal, sabji) sometime chicken gravy 1-2 times a week
4pm : Green Tea + 1Tbsp- Aloe Vera Juice
7pm: Grilled chicken or paneer tikka
9pm: Vegetable Soup or Daliya with vegetables
I do weight training- Chest, arms, shoulder of medium weight, not so heavy. And daily 30min of cardio of walking, running, cross training cycle etc.
Now guys, tell me, what could be the problem here, why I am not loosing weight ?? My butts, thighs, legs are slim. Only belly area looks so weird. What to do to loose weight or fat ? What kind of workout, diet I should follow ? Do I need to go thyroid test ? Or this is the sign of aging. Previously I was really good looking because of my lean & muscular physique, but Now I am loosing confidence.

Try intermittent fasting
Take proper sleep and rest too. Don’t do crunches, trust me you gonna thank me in your older age.
Bhai, maybe your body is adapted to your workout patterns, do you change your workouts regularly?

Your belly looks absolutely proportionate to rest of your body parts. No extra fat there.
In fact, the pictures show fat all over body. Based on pictures, you have a misconception that your hands and legs are slim. You have fat all over
You gotta eat whole day in small portions. That much calories need to burn too. So, 20-30 min gym time wont be successful either.
Looking at the pic and without reading your entire topic i just can say your entire body is equally distributed .
Secondly if you dont feel offended and are medically fit than start doing Surya Namaskar on daily basis with increasing numbers as per your capacity and progress..
Within six months you will look slim and trimmed and fit and energetic.
Forget wasting money on GYMS.
However join some morning YOG class for getting it done without laziness or Dilly Dalling on daily basis.
You desidimer guys are like my family, I never get offended. Yes, i feel so weight is equally distributed everywhere, in clothing I never look fat, but without cloth my tummy looks weird.

I use laptop on my belly in resting position on bed, does this also increase weight ?
Try and learn about Intermittent fasting .
And avoid commercial/branded healthy products ( dabur honey, any branded juices etc. )
Any other alternative of dabur honey, I feel this honey is also increasing my weight .
You’re eating too much do cardio 30 min 5 days a week, n cut ur intake as much as u can. You should feel hungry all the time. Right now your diet seems to be aimed more at maintaining current weight rather than losing. Remember, body burns fat only when there is calorie deficit.
some ppl might suggest u yoga. don’t, it’s a sham, waste of time.

Research has shown that there is nothing like “body gets adapted to the same workouts” theory. Muscles are not the brain. They don’t have memory. They cannot get adapted to a workout pattern. That theory is now shown to be just baseless bro-science.
If you don’t challenge your body, your body gets adapted to it. It is an efficient machine. That’s why performance trainers never stick to one type of exercise for a long period time. It is a proven fact.
And I was trying to prove that Yoga is not a sham.

jaggery has less calorie than white sugar. And better and cheaper than Sugarfree, stevia etc
@bikidas2060 @luckyk Guys, dont fight !! I am doing workout from long time, last year I joined yoga for 15 days program, and its really tough for me, as my body is not that flexible. But Yoga is also beneficial, but It will take time to get used to it. Weight Training, Cardio, yoga etc all have their own importance.

Thing is that I had really good physique 5 years ago like shahid kapoor, And it makes me feel bad when I see my old pics now. I was popular in college because of my body (in bachelor, master degree), but how time changes and now I get feeling of a uncle.

Munching whole day is not good either. Are you diabetic who needs to eat every 2 hrs.
Having Two Meals and Breakfast is enough.

too much carbs and too little fibre. no wonder you feel hungry every 2 hrs. your stomach needs fibre to slow digestion.
never have any juice. instead have whole fruits. it will add fibre.
all forms of machine made bread contain sugar. that is basic ingredient of fermentation. so brown or not, its high carb. both honey and jaggery are also carb. even rotis are high carb. butter and the oil used for omelette are basically direct fat.
also remember potato is cereal (carb) and not vegetable. it is to be eaten in place of roti not with roti. 1 potato equals 1 roti.
completely replace bread/roti with whole coarsegrains like millet. have millet and vegetable porridge for breakfast. it will last longer due to high fibre content. you can have one egg but only in boiled/water poached form.
stop having fried foods and start having boiled and baked foods.
add curd to your diet, preferably skimmed milk curd. replace chicken with rabbit meat, preferably steamed or baked. start having steamed vegetables. you can also add mushrooms, but again boiled or steamed only.
for tea, have only green tea, without sugar. you can also have a cup of green coffee without sugar, if you can adjust to the taste.
completely avoid any form of “tikka”, too much oil and stay away from paneer. also treat fried items like kachori and samosa as poison.
and most important, walk 5 km a day at reasonable good speed, best all round exercise ever.
finally, drink 4 to 5 litres of water a day.

Ok.. you do have a well planned routine and seems to be very much interested in healthy lifestyle. kudos on the zeal to make it workout:)
- So outta 24hrs you actively workout for lets say 60-90mins. do you do anything else for the rest of the day that would keep you active or like you know burn calories. Bcoz I have seen ppl who workout for an hour or so & then just travel in cars, do their desk job, come back n relax in sofas & keep complaining that they just dont feel active or see no change in their weight. When you have a sedentary lifestyle, I dont know maybe you should cultivate the habit of doing household chores more often, sweep the house, mop the house, do cooking, wash clothes maybe, take stairs, walk instead of taking vehicle to nearby distances, more importantly take a sport 3-5 days/week, i mean badminton or tennis or swimming!
- I do not do this but in your scenario you should maybe count your calories for a while. you need to be calorific-deficit to burn excessive fat over the time. there’s apps like cronometer or myfitnesspal you could maybe checkout.
- So you have done this multiple-small-portions things for a while. how about you give a try on intermittent fasting for couple of months. Most popular one is 16:8 (8hrs eating window:16hrs fasting) but you could just start with 12:12 and then move on to 13:11.. 14:10.. 15:9 and stick with whichever suits you. Trust me it really works.
- You could also cutdown/minimize on processed foods that’s part of your diet (alike not eating bread everyday). & if possible stop using oil altogether (doesnt matter if its refined or cold-processed or processed in outer space); its pure fat!!
everyone is suggesting intermittent fasting. I go to gym at 7am, what if I faint because of fasting, how to manage IF fasting with gym , workout ?
I have lost 15 kg weight in a month last year. No gym or exercise needed. Although I had kept my morning walk routine but that’s it. But that’s irrelevant for weight loss.
I just stopped eating carbs for the whole month. Protein and fats were my main food. That’s it.

After about 4 weeks of intermittent fasting (16:8 variety ) I had to stop as I was feeling weak and a tad dizzy even ( it did coincide with an exhausting trip though ). It had served its purpose anyway. 5:2 variant seems to be better suited for the long term. In any case there’s usually an 8-10 hour gap between meals.
I think Intermittent Fasting with 6 hour gap is better. So, we can take all the three – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Keto diet is good for loosing weight. Don’t try to keep on doing it for a long period of time. Basically you ll be forcing your body to consume fat only and you ll be eliminating carb. Your liver normally converts carb to glucose, as you ll be taking fat it gets converted to ketone. Google ketosis you ll get answer. Can Ketone fully replace carbohydrates? Nopes. But it can be used to treat Epilepsy.
But there ll be some side effects. Headache, nausea, constipation are some of the side effects.
Guys don’t exercise or have diet plans in order to be slim, reduce weight.
Infact you gonna gain weight after doing deadlifts and proper diet. And if you want to reduce weight, take professional help. Search for a dietician. Stick to that plan. If you wanna gain weight, try hypertrophy program from an expert.
And please don’t extend that Keto diet, it’s not normal for your body.
Edit: actually I googled now, it is saying kidney stones can be a potential side effect of Keto diet. I didn’t know that.
