I added money to my Paytm Wallet but Paytm Gift Voucher purchased

Same here, I have added money from my CC,,it got added in Paytm gift vouchers instead of wallet. What is this Fucking attitude of Paytm, If I am willing to pay 3% charge?

How to do it

Even my 25000 is trapped. In my case it was debit card. Paytm is not smart enough to detect difference between CC and Debit card. Feel cheated. Never going to use this wallet again . Paytm won’t survive.

the debit card load is going to wallet correctly. even if you enter credit card detail post selecting the debit card, it is treated as CC, otherwise it is debit card only.

Today morning I was adding money to paytm wallet. Instead of being received by paytm wallet it went to gift voucher. The total 15K is in paytm voucher. Tried to reach out to pay tm customer care on 01203888388 but i was given another number(01133996699) to talk regarding this which is not connecting at all. This is really disappointed. I want my money in paytm wallet asap. Hope Paytm will do the needful .

Transfer the payment to merchant paytm holder and return back the same in paytm wallet or bank.

Same thing happened to me today. Add money to paytm from cc it is reflecting in voucher balance. bloody fraud paytm. It should have shown any notification before adding money to wallet regarding gift voucher thing.

I guess they have rolled out some new of a policy wherein i cannot use the money i added to the wallet … As it goes to a Gift Voucher … This Gift Voucher Money seems to be a part of wallet balance but i can only pay to merchants … I Cannot send it to any one using a regular paytm account.
. It only allows you to pay to a merchant …. and this gift voucher balance also cannot be sent to bank any how. Stupid way of Scamming people by blocking the features that they previously provided.

I faced the same issue but I solved my problem as one of friends share on chat. Few things we need to check.
1. Pls complete your KYC ( Paytm link with Aadhaar) without it you can’t add money to your paytm wallet.
2. How to get money back in your a/c
a. Search Paytm Gold in Paytm
b. Paytm gold will open a window with to buy gold .
C. Pls use NEWGOLD code to get extra benefit.
D purchased it through your Paytm gift Voucher .
E. In same option sell it ( will give you loss of almost 200 rupees)
F. Sell process will confirm your bank account & IFSC code & your name.
G. Your money will back in your a/c within second.
H. 100% back karega money

I added money to paytm wallet using cc which I have been using couple of years but suddenlythe added money became paytm vouchers without any notification or warning paytm did this my money got strucked in vouchers I am not aware of them how can I get money back ?

Now whenever you will add any anount using a Credit card so it will be added as Paytm Gift voucher which is to stop people doing Transfer to Bank account. Not sure whats wrong when we pay the charge for Transfer but they still don’t want their app to be used a payment Gateway and Banks also have issue people using shopping money for cash. But yes one thing that paytm should notify its user that amount will be added to gift voucher so user can atleast stop and by doing a suddent surprising situation they may end up loosing customer.

As for now you can pay to other merchant or buy gold with that amoun so you can get it transfered to Bank or send to someone else.

I have gone through the same problem.6000 rs gone in Gift voucher amount.Paytm have started the policy if you use your credit card to send money then the amount will get deposited in your gift voucher.

What Should be the Next Step
Best option would be a shop owner who have his own QR code. Whenenver we scan the QR code and send the money to the Shop owner, the amount directly deposit in their bank account.Paytm doesn’t charge anything from them.I gave 50 bucks to the owner and scanned the QR code worth of 6000 rs.The amount got transferred to the shop owner and he gave be back 6000 bucks.
