I added money to my Paytm Wallet but Paytm Gift Voucher purchased

While am adding my money to wallet it’s convert to gift voucher please confirm should I transfer that amount to in my wallet

I added money using Debit card but it added to gift vouchers. 01133996699 is not working. Call gets ended.
I added money to send to son and he’s not getting it

I am posting as it might help you all.
Actually if you notice while recharging paytm there comes a notification that : in recharge by credit card, it would be a paytm gift voucher purchase.
Exact mesage as given below :-
‘You cannot add money to paytm wallet using credit cards. however you can go ahead and buy paytm gift voucher which can be used at all places where paytm is accepted. You will not be able to transfer this money to your bank account or any other paytm user’

Thus many of you are facing this problem. You want to see this message just go to the add money screen on paytm and you will see this message, so small written that hardly any one would notice it while doing recharge. thus money is added for payrm gift card purchase.

My money is also blocked since yesterday. and yes paytm customer care is not responding. and they customer care ivrs number is so confising that we will not get which key to press on mobile to talk to customer care.

and moreover there is a problem in the payment gateway also.

why this is happening probably the link mentioned below might be able to give some idea.

It happended with me as well. this is a fraud, without any notice or warning how can do that.
I want them to remove PM modis picture from their app right now.
Any one can loot india in our PMs name.

This s cheating..they have trapped many people in this fraud case…how can they use people money…i have transferred 15k but voucher s been purchased..please help as pay tm people als not responding…need to take this matter legal

Fraud Organisation…stealing customer’s money by not allowing to transfer the added fund using credit card to bank account. If there is a change in your policy then you stupid Company ’Paytm" should have warned people. If you want to keep me as your customer then arrange a call from your customer care which is never ever reachable.

This happened to me as well. I added 10k for my daily usages and the same converted to gift vouchers. Initially I was bit worried bit but need not to. If you guys are transferring the amount added through credit card to your bank then this is not going to happen now. Paytm has introduced this check to stop this practice.

For others, there is no big change, they can still use the wallet in same way using earlier but for purchases only through scan code.

People can still get transferred this amount to bank but now through those who have paytm merchant account.

As an experiment, added Rs 10 selecting paytm wallet add but money got added as a gift voucher.

1. While attempting to send money to bank or shopping on paytmmall it is showing me a cumulative balance (i.e earlier available + added Rs 10 gift voucher).

2. While attempting to send a friend, allowing to transfer only available existing balance, excluding Rs 10 added (gift voucher)

I think it’s normal business once again. Added money using credit card money in wallet. But that 0% transfer fee is gone.

Even though it says so it is charging me money to transfer to bank.

why dont guys who used credit cards and got vouchers in paytm, apply for charge back and show paytm a finger? U got product/ service different than claimed initially right? That should allow charge-back.
