This is incorrect. While RSBL is a good company, it does not offer BIS hallmarks for 999 coins. Note that 999 or 999.9 refers to 24 carat gold. BIS hallmarks only 22 carat and below. So nobody can sell a 24 carat coin that is BIS hallmarked because it does not exist. That said the coin from RSBL is good quality. Regarding the OP’s question about IBJA. These coins are certified by the Indian Bullion Jewellers Association. These are good quality as well and are equally recognized.

Wrong info. BIS is still in the process of creating hallmarks for 24 carat gold. Google it. And bro, no point fighting me…just call a Jeweller and ask him (or her).

Before posting anything such on Google “best coin for investment” you will find lots of articles suggesting 999 or 999.9 purity gold coins with bis hallmark. And I personally purchased rsbl gold coin 999.9 purity and it’s having bis hallmark.

I recommend you both call your Jeweller and you’ll see what I’m saying.

Not fighting, just stating what i know & have experienced. & as to calling a jeweler, sold most of those coins to one of the biggest jewelers in my city.

Bro, if the goal is just to sell the coin then a BIS Hallmark doesn’t matter. They’ll check the 999 or 999.9 inscription on the coin and give you the money. My point about calling the jeweller was that you ask him/her if a 24 carat coin can be BIS hallmarked.

Ok, I think I see the problem here. Check this link – https://m.economictimes.com/wealth/spend/7-thin...

“Effective January 1, 2017 BIS announced that it will be hallmarking gold jewellery only for 22KT, 18KT and 14KT.”

So I guess maybe you purchased before January 2017. In the current discussion given that OP will be buying now in 2018 it can be safely said that BIS does not Hallmark 24 carat gold anymore.

No idea. I already shared with you what I know. The rest of the intellectual pursuit I leave to you, your jeweller, and possibly the seller of those coins.
