so, I have a coral credit card and a debit card from ICICI and I’ve noticed many times that the buy 1 get 1 on BMS gets applied on the debit card almost everytime I have tried but doesn’t work with credit card at all. only once I’ve been able to get it work on the credit card. it always throws an error"Try in the next hour". has ICICI done this deliberately to promote their debit cards. I am paying close to 700 bucks for this debit card and wondering if it makes sense to close the card and stick only to the credit card

The Coral CC is provided LTF to may ICICI customers so more people are using it for BOGO offer on BMS, that is why almost everytime the limit is exhausted. Though it may be possible that ICICI is being partial and giving more slots for the always Paid DC rather than CC.

Yes, I would suggest closing the debit card. ICICI’s BMS offers are always capped by an upper limit which always runs out as soon as the bookings open.

I prefer HSBC BMS offer as it does not have a quota cap and can be used once a month to get one plus one.

I noticed that ICICI has recently added the Inox box office buy 1 get 1 offer too for the coral credit which wasn’t there earlier. It was there only for the debit card which I’ve used many a times on the Inox counter. But it was capped to one ticket a month for every card and it was guaranteed to work. Now, they have made it upto 2 free tickets a month but added “limited quota only everyday”. Does that mean it’s not guaranteed to work like before? I show up at the theatre expecting to get 1 ticket free at the counter and the Machine charges for 2. If that’s the case, then it’s a downgrade.
Anyone used this offer at Inox recently?

@schumacher which Icici debit card variant you have whose annual charge is 700? I have the basic titanium one which costs around 150-200/year.
