Idea sim services not working and customer care is saying they are unable to see any record of my number

Idea sim services is not working and customer care is saying they are unable to see any record of my number.
I got the sim as replacement for my existing number for which sim was lost. Services in new Sim were activated yesterday, today services have been deactivated and customer care is unable to help and they are saying it is not an idea number and asking me to visit My idea store. Any idea what can be done in this and if anybody have faced such issue before
