Its very very complicated so pay close attention and follow directions exactly…

dang I lost the message, it just went away..when I made the above line bold..

okay so here is a simple trick instead..

find the tower closet to you and place the phone in the direction of the tower.. check the speeds..
If its not after then place it parallel to the tower instead of vertical.. + see the plus sign? move the phone placed flat on a table around until the best signal.. You get 500-1000% better signal to noise ratio doing this and 5-10x speeds between the least to the most.. In most cases if the tower is not right next to you this makes a huge difference.. The tuned anteenas used on the tower dont put out much more power than your phone yet are 1000x more sensitive and can handle 1000x more users this way.. But you cant expect people to always point their phones at the antenna to get the best signal.. This works on most phones maybe except for Apple who found out if you held the phone in your hand you could not get a signal.. I get a speed difference on 2 phones with BSNL from 250KB/sec to 1MB/sec by placing them parallel to the tower rather then pointing it at it..

Hmm. I do get – 2 to – 5 dBm higher signal strength when placing the mobile vertically as opposed to horizontally at the location in my house where its the strongest. But then again that’s – 58 dBm vs – 51 – to – 55 dBm.

I was looking at making directional antennas using tin cans and tin foils etc..

Vertically which did not make much difference it was always directional and horizontal..

Since I do not have an internet connection and uses phone instead.. Although JIO did not behave this way until very recently I have had to flip the phone from its side to a direction of the BSNL cell tower.. I do not know where the JIO tower is.. This is the opposite of the BSNL which is placed parallel to the tower or maybe I have no idea if thats the BSNL tower and could be airtel or idea hmmmm..

Although the measured signal strength might not be much even though any 3db difference is still a doubling of signal strength, in reality the small increase might be enough to punch through better on a shared common bandwidth. And it is very inconvenient to place the JIO SIMed phone in this way but recently I have had to as the speeds drop to 50kb/sec and pointing it at the BSNL cell tower will increase the speeds to 500kb/sec// Still far slower than the 5MB/sec i used to get 6 months ago.

I tried this with JIOFI but made no difference.. Although normally none of the JIO connection have a connection problem like this, its only during peak hours, But the change in the Asus with the BSNL is huge.. Its as fast as the JIO connection if I align it just right.. Ofcourse this is not possible when watching or talking on it.

But as Apple found out, just holding the phone in your hand, your body itself can act as an antenna or as a receipticle.. ie your head can end up as a resonant cavity like a microwave frying those itty bitty useless brain matter..

Heh people think I am crazy now running around carefully placing all cell phones to point or against cell towers near bed time so I can drain everyone’s daily bandwidth..

You know we used to transfer floppies via modems? took a few hours.. 150kb of data or so.. I was like wooooa man.. this is just like star track.. beam me up scotty.. from this floppy to that floppy at the other end of town..

What has I come down to!!! This place has reduced me to a dribbling lunatic.. But after losing so much stuff half a dozen times to electrical shorts and lightning strikes I dont trust any kind of wired connections by these companies. I have disconnected any wired connection to the outside to electrical outlets with relay isolated to generator backup circuit.. And making sure earth is connected properly and is the SAME in all devices.. Like life, lightning takes out the weakest link otherwise..
