I haven’t upgraded because its too pricey (4999/- yearly fee). I guess having multiple free cards now gives almost all paid cards features nowadays like movie tickets, lounge access plus reward points. For premium features of high end cards, one needs to be a high spender to start with to justify that card; like dining in Taj etc

Its ur priorities,
Whether lounge access have any better value and how many times u need it, ask the value for money from urself or u want it for status ?
Normally , I feel things r pricey even outside lounge and hygiene is acceptable. Paying for lounge access will be cheaper if u take some airline card IMO.

HDFC Bank All Miles Card

I have HDFC diners club for lounge access. Apart from this, if you want to collect miles etc, then there are some options there in paid cards. Not explored much.
@A2Zdeals I would like to see your review on Citi Bank credit cards and specifically Citi Indian Oil credit card

To start with, Citi bank has been quite old MNC player and stood firmly. Though they have restricted themselves to limited offerings and unline private banks (HDFC, ICICI, SBI) or MNC banks (SCB) have not gone into multiple cards for multiple class of people.
Few Facts :
~ Citi allows holding of only 2 cards simultaneously
~ Citi cards has spends based fee reversal
I am using Citi Bank First Citizen (affiliate of Shoppers Stop) & Citi Bank Cash Back card.
Citi FC Card is good for shopping at Shoppers Stop. I have kept it mostly exclusive to SS only. Still if I spend outside SS, effective earn ratio is 0.70% (for every Rs. 100 spent we get back value of 70 paise) which is not bad but point utilisation will happen at SS only.
Citi CB card is good for bill payments & gives 5% Cashback Max 100 per category of Bill Payment, Utility Bill Payment & Movies. On rest all categories it gives 0.50%.
Catch is to accumulate 500 points to get auto cashback in card account.
Plus is a card is good which allows utilisation of points against card outstanding. I don’t like to burn points for buying gifts etc. as ratio is very low (mostly 20%-40%)
Here you know, you are earning 0.50% flat on any purchase other than cashback category where you earn 5% subject to max limits.
Coming to Citi Indian Oil Card, it is affiliated with Indian Oil Petrol Pump.
Point structure :
4 Turbo Points on Rs.150 (2.67%) of fuel purchases at authorized Indian Oil Retail Outlets across the country
Full waiver of the fuel surcharge (2.5%) on fuel purchases
Earn 4 Turbo Points for every Rs.150 at our featured partner like grofers, makemytrip, musafir, flipkart, freecharge for limited period
2 Turbo Points on Rs.150 at grocery and supermarkets (Max on transaction of Rs.5,000 or 67 points per month)
1 Turbo Point on Rs.150 spent elsewhere like Shopping, Dining and more
(Plus) 1 Turbo Point gives you Rs.1 of free fuel
(Plus) Spend based Fee reversal on at least Rs.30,000 p.a. else fees 1000 p.a.
(Plus) Joining bonus 250 points
(Plus) Turbo Points never expire
(Plus) Get Rs.200 worth of free fuel with every Additional Card Max 600
(Minus) Card must be swiped on Citibank EDCs only to avail the above benefits
(Minus) Turbo Points capped to purchase amount of Rs.10,000 (or 267 Turbo Points) per transaction for fuel
(Minus) Turbo Points capped to purchase amount of Rs.5,000 (or 67 Turbo Points) per transaction for grocery
(Minus) On transactions exceeding Rs.10,000, No points
(Minus) Too many caps
Redemption ratio is good if used for Fuel else just 25%-30% value in return.
My friends using this card are happy as they don’t need to pay for fuel but they need to go to Indian Oil pumps.
My Recommdation : If looking for Citi Bank Indian Oil Card for other than fuel benefits, Better to go for another card.
There are many free cards available. But if you still want to go for any Citi Bank card then :
1. PM me for referral (Get 1000 Rs. cashback from citi bank)
2. Apply through CITI Bank website (Get 1000 Rs. cashback from citi bank)
3. Apply through Bank Bazaar (Get 1000 Rs Amazon Voucher from bank bazaar)
Anyone applying for citi bank credit card can PM me for referral.

Even SCB is having a limited range of cards, 5-6 against 4 offered by Citibank.

Didn’t consider Rewards card? 2500 points on activation if you spend Rs. 1000 in first 30 days. You get 1500 points for free every year. Annual fees waived on spending Rs. 30000. Points redeemable against card outstanding subject to min of 5000 point at 0.35x conversion ratio. Effectively you get 2.8% cashback on accelerated rewards partners (eg flipkart, freecharge currently). 1000 bonus points if your quarterly spends exceed Rs. 1 Lakh. And points never expire.
My friends using this card are happy as they don’t need to pay for fuel but they need to go to Indian Oil pumps.
That feature/shortcoming ends soon with removal of surcharge on petrol pump transactions.
There was a time when scb had flurry of cards. When they had acquired Barclay’s card business.
My Barclay’s times card became scb times card & eventually stopped. So at a given point that had many.
Times card history & present :
Citi international Times Card > Barclay Times Card > SCB Times Card > HDFC Times Card
I have acquired most cards like hdfc icici citi scb when there was no fee. Now all charge mostly with some exceptions.
Citi rewards card is not much promoted. I guess no more sourced by citi bank.

Yes, even ICICI has scrapped many of the card variants. But now they have started to increase the range again. Wasnt aware that Barclays offered cards in India!
I find Inner Circle platinum one the best, 1.2% cashback(+ no fees)but can be redeemed only on Lifestyle(Landmark) group stores. Manhattan lost some attractiveness due to decrease in redemption value of points, good for grocery purchase though. Kotak having one card with 10% cashback on grocery purchases, but they aren’t enthusiastic about getting new customers. They called around 3 weeks after I applied for the card, but I couldn’t take the call and they never bothered to call again.
I have acquired most cards like hdfc icici citi scb when there was no fee. Now all charge mostly with some exceptions.
Yes, that was the golden period. I think only HDFC provides upgrades based on the spending on the current variant.
Citi rewards card is not much promoted. I guess no more sourced by citi bank.
No, it is widely promoted, more than other cards. Through newspaper advertisements as well. Cashback one’s visibility getting reduced marginally, it doesn’t even show on the homepage when other cards are displayed.
I have kotak feast gold (earlier trump gold).
10% on dining & movies. I got it for free. Now fee based.
I enjoyed it very much till new cards & offer schemes came.
Still very good. Minimum spend criteria is there.
Citi rewards card was earlier citi cash rewards card. Yes it is there. Cash rewards card is stopped.
Click credit cards on citi site, cashback card is prominent.
Barclay sold to SCB
Deutsche sold to IndusInd
ABN AMRO sold to RBS which also sold out. Don’t remember to whom.
I was holding cards with all above.
Im using Citi Rewards ,Citi Indian Oil , HSBC Platinium ,SCB Manhattan,SCB Inner Circle ,ICICI Platinum, Kotak Gold Card,
SBI Simply Save Card among these CITI , HSBC ,SCB are equally Best
@A2Zdeals
Just to add to the Citi cashback card, has a yearly fee of 500+service tax, earlier issued cards i.e before 2012 IIRC are still free. I applied after that and get charged. Please note this is not based on any spend amount. Its fixed. So far its been a good experience with Citi as an overall and the card as well.
Edit: The caps that you mentioned is 100 per billing cycle. So in effect any spends beyond 2K are down the drain. The categoies are Utlity and telecom billis, movie spends.
not sure but if the general category has any limit.

10% flat for all purchases or only after spending 10000 on other categories? Movie ticket booking discount cards have really lost relevance as other cards provide better offers on BMS.

Back again, but earlier it used to show only three variants, omitting Cashback one.

RBS sold to RBL . Credit card agents frequently visited offices those days for enrolling more and more customers, now banks have become very selective.

You are missing something. Check product page.
No limit for normal purchases.
it works normally everywhere.
I used it at different places online & offline.
It is not virtual card. It is Visa Physical card and accepted everywhere.
