IRCTC E-Ticket Help Needed

Please don’t laugh at my question.
Say I bought an e-ticket. Got the soft copy ie SMS / confirmation message after you purchase the ticket. Have the the ID proof. So I can show it to the TTE at train.
But how a Ticket Checker ( the guys on platform / near station exit ) will verify the validity of an e-ticket. I mean he does not have the reservation chart like the TTE on baord.
Or confirmation SMS and ID proof is enough even for Tc on Platform / Station exit ?

I am not laughing. Confirmation SMS is enough from Railway. If he is very strict and want to check then he is directly check through your PNR no.
