Hello dimers,
Nowadays getting a Tatkal ticket from IRCTC is a tough task, Many of us would have ended up getting a waitlisted ticket even at the time of crucial emergency. But things are going to change now…
Just a small homework will change the things for you- a little over than 100 kB extension (in Google Chrome), some pre-booking things you already be doing, and a good Internet connection will work.
How to get a confirmed ticket
- Head over to MyRailInfo
- Click on Install Browser plugin
- Allow the installation
- Refresh the page to get Chrome Plugin intalled
- Fill up the form appropriately with details of your journey, passenger details, and payment option.
- Head over to IRCTC to book your ticket
- Fill in the Captcha for login
magic happens - Select the class to view current status
- Press Ctrl+M to proceed.
magic happens - Fill captcha at bottom left click next
- You will be taken to the payment page
- Proceed with your payment
- You will get your Confirmed Tatkal Ticket.

Note-
You need to “save data” each time you try booking a Tatkal ticket or reopen a browser window.but the best trick

There is nothing one can do with your UserID Password for IRCTC… but yes for the payment you can skip using that site filling your data and fill it yourself at payment!

Yes.. but in net banking we need to manually input it in bank site.
Use tatkal now for it.. It’s far better than this.. Using both extension but tatkal now seem better than this

Good trick but most old and known
You can also use “magic autofill for irctc” app with Chrome and you dont need to save your user name, password or Bank details.
Challenge is with entering the CAPTCHA and then processing the payment, the site will be less responsive and you may land up getting a non confirmed Tatkal or partial confirmed Tatkal ticket (traveling in a group) for most of the trains.
It’s more like a hit and miss situation. Talkal bookings open at 10:00AM and finish mostly in 30 seconds for well known trains. If you are lucky enough you may get a ticket, however, in my experience paying 300-500 bucks to an agent was fruitful in getting a confirmed Talkal ticket.
Hope this helps.

Some of the users [ in Reviews ] reported that IRCTC has blocked their account since using IRCTC Tatkal Ticket Now
Good !!
But tatkal’s ticket is double or more of ticket price better to book advance if possible

For those cases in which we cannot pre-plan our journey this is useful.

There are different rules for different type of tickets… you concerned about offline (over the counter) tickets or online (through IRCTC) ?
