Is Aircel network active anywhere in Mumbai ?

My friend from Thane has aircel sim, which has no network since last month. Earlier he tried to port out and got the port out code but customer service guy called n assured Aircel not closing hence no need for mnp, but after some days the network just disappeard.
What to do now ?
Is there any area near Mumbai where Aircel still functioning ? Just to recieve porting code …

Try to manually select Airtel network (2G first) to see if it latches, if it does, send port out code.
How to portout
Hi any1 from Karnataka circle know how to generate porting code becoz I tried contacting customer care n tried online generation but of no use..
So who have ported out kindly let me know what’s procedure…

Still getting error as:
“Unable to Generate UPC: Unable to fetch Customer Details”
Too late, aircel was dead already across India. Btw if it is a postpaid no. You may don’t need the porting code
