Is MX150 Graphics upgrade worth 17k for laptop

Hello,

I am confused choosing between two laptops

Asus Vivobook S S430UA = 48k₹
Latest i5 8265u
Asus vivobook S430UN = 65k₹
Older i7 8550u
Nvidia MX150 2gb

Both the processors, ie newer i5 and the older i7 have the same performance in benchmarks. So, I guess the cpu are of equal performance.

Only extra there is then the MX150 card, so is the upgrade worth for 17k?

I am not a gamer, but I might play games rarely, like once in 2 months

Please help

Lol why? Just buy the Asus ROG strix.. Uts retailing for 65 on Flipkart.. Its got thr 8300H processor

The problems with gaming laptops are, they’re usually bulky and with very less battery backup.
i5 H processors are very good, but bulkiness is the problem

Absolutely NO! Its desktop counterpart is the GT 1030 which costs Rs 5.5-6k (and is still overpriced considering the R3 2200G at 8k ). But that’s how it works in the world of laptops. The difference between a 1366×768 TN panel and a 1080p IPS panel is $15. Yet you would need to spend some $150-200 more to get the latter. Blow through your budget or compromise.
