Today I received call from this number 09721213933.
Lady said she is from Payback Mumbai. Further she said-
‘You are earning points on doing card transactions. Till now you earned 10 thousand something points which are expired. So, we converted to cashback of around ₹9000. You can redeem it for shopping or Outstanding payment of your card.’

I realised that it is fraud call. Simultaneously, I checked my payback account & found only 3 points. Then I was 100% sure that it’s fraud.

Next she asked my DOB, I told her wrong DOB.Then she asked card expiry, I replied which card expiry & why. She said HDFC card, I said I don’t have HDFC card & I also said that I will complaint against you to RBI. She replied your voice is breaking when I said about complaint. I again asked which card expiry, she said SBI card. Then I replied I don’t have HDFC card. She again said SBI card. So I replied I don’t have RBL card. Then she said it’s showing SBI card here. I clearly told- if you want to give Shopping voucher then send Amazon Gift card to my number.

What you guys think? Don’t know from where out data is being leaked. Anybody else received such call recently?

Most scammers will say SBI card because most of the ppl have atleast SBI debit card.

I talk to them whenever I have time. Once I talked for 45 mins before he hung up.

Got inspired by this TED talk.

Now I know they are scammers and they are not going to get a single rupee out of me but if I do not waste their time, they will scam other innocent people who has no idea about these scammers.

Watch the video. It’s awesome.

You can try this if the above options don’t wotk
Create a new payback account with a new number .. mail them to link both payback cards (I did it once)

This seems like a phishing Call where caller does not have your full info but are trying to commit fraud by fishing for information.

Avoid giving your info to strangers who meet you in mall or road side offering gifts in lucky draw. These companies collect your data for marketing and sell it to anyone willing to pay. fraudsters buy the data for phishing.
