It’s disheartening , I have Europe tickets for May 2019 in Jet Airways . Anybody here closely associated with Jet Airways ?

even close buddies cannot help – since ethihad is also planning to sell the stake. Many flights are getting cancelled at very last moment.

If you have miles use it asap. Had taken business class last week using miles.

Ya last hope is Qatar coming to play vital role. Goyal & his son Nivan is in Doha to re-present & talk about stake sale to Qatar. Hope something good comes out

jet has already grounded 41 planes.
if you have large number of points, convert to Amazon vouchers.

you still have to pay the taxes and charges over and above the points. plus, there is no guarantee that the flight you choose would actually fly.
eg. for a short distance flight of about 1 hour, they charge 5000 pts + Rs. 1260. Tickets from other airlines are available on the same sector at around 2K-2.5 K. So your 5000 points are effectively worth about Rs.800-1250.
and if the airlines stops after 31st march, your 50k points are as good as nothing. At least, via amazon, you get Rs.11K value that you can spend.

Ya taxes are involved when redemption of miles happen, but when you fly business you get lounge access and in flight meal so effectively taxes paid is recovered.
Further miles comes in handy at last moment when ticket prices are 3x or 4×.last time i had redeemed when economy fare was 8k and business was 19k, so got business class miles ticket for 1100 only.

Hope sbi comes to resuce.

And why should sbi rescue? If Ericsson can make Ambani pay for defaults, why can’t sbi? from il&fs to essar to hundreds of loan offenders hiding behind new law, why should bank suffer and then we pay these banks for rescue from taxes? let all these offenders sell whatever they can and pay back. they know nothing will happen so they keep playing with public’s money.

What happened with UTI In past? Lic was made to invest in bank recently isn’t it?

The only major fault of Mr Goyal was he started to compete with someone who was no where in the game without thinking about after effects. A low cost airline charges for everything – extra luggage to premium seats. I remember traveling in Jet as first choice having 3 kgs excess luggage at multiple locations and they never charged me. Seat selection was free, meal was free. So that is where i believe it all started.

As a Jet platinum member, I was having lounge access, till they stopped recently. But most of the time, I was generating online boarding pass and arriving in time to directly board the flight. Lounge access is good where you have a change of flight and layover, otherwise, not really that useful.
And there are limited quota of redemption tickets per flight, so at the last moment, they are mostly not available.

JP miles is loyalty program of Jet. Just like any reward program run by organzation.
Example – Dimes for DD.

Sorry if you feel offended but I am also in same boat.
Platinum member / gold member traveling in economy and accessing lounge was a big cost for airlines. There was time when I flew Mum – Ahm ticket was @ 1100 and after cashback from OTAs it was 500. Now I was offered lounge access and as well in flight meal. so in short a huge cost to airline for 1100 ticket.

Yes redemption is limited but now that bulk flight cancelation is happening if you traveling shortly you can try miles and go for it. Used miles twice in March. Planning to use on 31st flight – still showing seats under miles category.

They cannot run their banking operations properly but now want to run private airlines.
All because Modiji has directed that Jet must not close down before elections as it would increase unemployment situation.

EPFO data is based on new “account” creation instead of new “UAN” creation. This is because every time a person changes job, he gets a new account number but his UAN remains same.
Also, the data does not indicate the number of UAN with NCP (no contribution period). This reflects the cases where a person has left job and is jobless but has not yet lodged claim for refund.
The data is deliberately kept misleading to project a wrong picture. If we eliminate the cases of job transfer and cases of job termination, the actual position becomes negative.

There is more to it. 1, pmrpy scheme is now treated under epfo secondly duplicate data should have been removed instantly by aadhaar checking but just like rbi note counting the data is corrected at snail speed, knowingly. thirdly, temporary employees getting more than 240 days of job should be given epfo a/c and in india there are temp enployees from 18 to 58 still working on daily wages, added slowly to jack up data. lastly, any orginazation with 20 or more employees should have epfo a/c so suppose x left the company will stop paying its contribution and will still be in epfo data but when y joins, again new 19 fresh a/c, duplicate and 1 new uan will be created.
