Hi,
i was facing too many call drop on my 3 phone in family and other caller getting my number mostly unreachable.
so i raised complain to Jio.
Jio executive gave solution that you have phone with Android 6 and its not supported by JIO VoLte. so update to Android 7.
Later i received this SMS:
Dear Customer,
Further to your Complaint number SR00000xxx we find that your device software needs an urgent upgrade. Please follow this path to upgrade : Settings→About Phone→Software Updates→Update Now. If your problem still persists, or you need any further support, please call us on 199 or write to [email protected].

and still Android 7 is not released by MIUI.
any one facing such issue?

firstly it is not call drop but network binding/logging of redmi/mi. I m also facing same problem with rn3 but my next door neighbor has moto and he never goes out of reach. wen i realize problem then i put phone on airplane mode for a while and after that it works…i think redmi is not changing bands as some times jio band changes between 40/3/5. i am facing same problem with unlocked airtel 4g router. to bring back connectivity i need to switch off and switch again whereas jiofi always work.

facing issue in all three models. and JIO gave same suggestion to update to Android 7.

My phone Honor 6x couldn’t place any call after I updated to Android Nougat. Everytime I tried calling it used to disconnect. The only solution was to get a new duplicate sim which had no issues afterwards.

why you’re using jio4Gvoice app ? dont have volte ?
i have this problem in Redmi 4G (no volte), but bought Redmi note 4 (volte) => not a single drop till now and no need to ON data or jio4Gvoice app, jio4Gvoice app makes mobile hanging.

Exactly. First I thought its network issue. Then later I saw my friends moto which is working fine. Its totally irritating. Sometimes even in stong network data comes in 1kBps speed. Later I have to switch off data and on.
There’s no solution other than changing rom?
