Jio offer of free voice, data services till December 3, Trai tells telcos
Reliance Jio Infocomm will curtail its offer of free voice and data services till December 3, instead of its previously announced date of December 31. The company has also received a clean chit from the telecom regulator which has found its tariff plans including free voice and data offers permissible and complaint with rules.

Guys, existing Welcome offer subscribers will continue to receive the free benefits till Dec 31. But new users will not be added to the Welcome offer after Dec 3. Don’t get confused.

Update: Jio has confirmed that the Welcome Offer will end on December 3. But it adds that those who already subscribe to it will continue to get free unlimited data and free unlimited calls until December 31. Those who want to join the Jio network after December will have to subscribe to a commercial plan.

The key thing to note is that the offer can’t be continued for more than 90 days by the service provider for acquiring new customers.
Once a customer has already joined under a promotional offer, the operator may continue to provide free service/features. This is my understanding of the situation.
In any case, Jio can migrate the existing users to another free offer with a different name, say Loyalty Offer, to reset the clock for another 90-days and be compliant with any legal issues. #LegalLoopholes

Yeah, all these juvenile attempts by AVOID can be dealt with ease if desired. Btw, RJIO has released it’s official stand in the link above by KoolMickey. We will continue to get the offer till 31st Dec.
