PROCESS TO ORDER GROCERY :

1. The users in said areas of service can add the JioMart’s number (8850008000) on their phones, upon which they receive a link on the chat window which remains in service for 30 minutes. Using the link, the users can then place an order from the catalogue of products by filling in their address and phone number.

2. The order details are shared by JioMart with local Kirana store over WhatsApp, while the user receives the details of of the respective store, and is notified once the store bills the order. The customer then has to pick up the order from the store.

Three days after Reliance Retail signed a commercial pact with Facebook’s WhatsApp to further the reach of its online venture JioMart, the retailer went live in the suburban Mumbai areas of Navi Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan.
Reliance’s tie up with WhatsApp means it gets direct access to WhatsApp’s user base of over 400 million.
To order from JioMart, customers need to add JioMart’s WhatsApp number 88500 08000 on their phones. JioMart sends a link to the customer’s Whatsapp chat window. The link is valid for 30 minutes. Clicking on the link directs the user to a new page wherein he has to fill his address and phone number, after which the catalogue of products is made available to order from. Products available inlcude sundry brands along with Reliance Retail’s own private labels. Once the final order is placed, it is shared with the local kirana store on WhatsApp. The customer receives a notification iwth the order and the kirana/JioMart store details on his number. The customer will also receive an alert once the kirana bills the order. Currently, the only payment option available is cash and the customer has to pickup his order from the store.
Reliance Retail Ltd, the retail arm of Reliance Industries Ltd, had last December soft launched its new commerce venture named JioMart. Calling itself “Desh Ki Nayi Dukaan", JioMart is currently catering to online shoppers in the suburban Mumbai areas of Navi Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan.

I don’t think jiomart will be successful with this type of strategy cashback offers and price should be competitive otherwise people will simply buy from local shop also what is the advantage that Jio Mart is giving when compared with buying from local shops even payment method is cash

Almost everyone has phone number of 1 or 2 Local Kirana Stores. Especially after lockdown, everyone took phone numbers of all the nearby shops from which they purchase frequently.

What’s the concept here, they will take our details, store them, they share order details to our local kirana itself. And we should pickup the order. Lol. Name is jio mart, but their concept is like people don’t have any communication among their locals.
Even not fit for this lockdown situation.

Jio ne khud distribute Kiya to bat alag hein but local kirana store ki bat Kar Raha hein ambani… Telecom sector ki bat alag thi yahape amazon Flipkart Jaise bade player hein… Jio mart ko barbad Kar denge… Abhi RIL ki halat bhi bohat kharab hein…
