[Lenovo Z2 Plus] On screen navigation buttons after Nougat update

I have been using Z2 plus since Jan and took a liking to it. I liked U-Touch and found it so convenient to use that I had disabled the one screen navigation buttons (soft keys).

After Nougat update 2 days back, it was still disabled. Today, I did a factory reset and the soft keys came back on (as that is default).

Previously, under U-Touch settings there was an option to turn it off. After the update, that option’s gone. I finally managed to do it from Developer options. It shows as disabled (though it is not), it needs to be enabled and then disabled again. Viola – the soft keys are gone.

Please comment here if you need more information.
Hope this is useful to Z2 Plus owners.

I am not a heavy user. A few phone calls and about 2 hours of screen time per day – battery easily lasts 2 days. I have a tablet that I use for reading and video. I am not using Jio so disabled Volte. The only problem I have noticed is that when my laptop it tethered to it (via wifi hopspot) and I receive a call, the data connection is suspended until the call get over.

p.s. I keep GPS, Wifi and Data on all the time. In my old phone, I used to disable GPS when not needed. This one doesn’t drain the battery too much, so I don’t turn it off.

There are some flaws with the update. It looks like the Lenovo team were in hurry to release the update, so that the users dont get lured by other brands. I really like Z2 Plus but flaws & errors, irritates sometimes.
