Battery improved a little after turning off Location Services and LTE. But still doesn’t last the whole day ..

You are using default ROM that came with this phone or any custom ROM.
To me it seems that some software is causing the issues… yesterday, I reset it and disabled most of the things and battery is running much much better.

Lost about 19% in last 7 hours.

please update wether you have flashed with any custom rom. ???

Default ROM only, but just rooted the phone to remove the bloatware. Thanks for the update. Let me know what all you disabled. I stopped tones/vibration/Sync/LocationServices/GPS. Its better but only drains battery when connected to 3G or Wifi and when the screen in ON. If the screen is off, it doesn’t lose much. May be 1-2% per hour.

Not now. But would try out if anyone sees a great benefit or improvement. Since I tried multiple ROMs on earlier devices but didn’t find any gr8 advantage and also some features were having issues. So, might try a ROM if it is Fully stable and provides added advantages

Isn’t 3G Video calling not available on this phone? Couldn’t find the option to do a video call. Plz help.

I installed “Snapdragon™ BatteryGuru” which was suggested by GSKVerma not custom ROM
Snapdragon™ BatteryGuru is still under learning mode and I cannot tell you if it has any benefits but this app looks good.

Camera quality looks good.

quick review:-
Battery of ‘ok’ only not good ,have to search for disabling 4g chip.
camera is average but manageable same quality as neuxus not good in low light.

performance is awesome no lags at all browsing with 20+ tabs is running like charm .. have to test high games
pics are same as others so i am not posting ….looking great

To disable LTE on E970 go to phone and dial 3845#*970#. Select WCDMA-Only>Modem Settings>RAT Selection>WCDMA only. Automatic will restore LTE.

1 day optimus g usage report-

Received mine yesterday same time around. It’s packaging is disappointing the phone box is slightly opened but because of my luck the phone does not fell out of it. Just opened the box, there is wall charger and headset and guide. Started the phone, it has around 76% battery so didn’t charge it.

Now the playing start. I’m using vodafone postpaid, seen a video of weird network problem in vodafone so 1st entered sim and 1st no i dialed is 111. And there is no such problem in this phone so bit relief.

The phone is very good looking and very slim. But bit wide for my hand. The notification light is super-cool. The touch response is good. The loud speaker is loud but it has not bass only sound. I read that is it has dolby mobile which improves the quality of sound while hearing it on headphone. Tested it on my sennheiser hd 202II. It sounds good but i prefer bass booster mode more. Now come to camera, It takes decent pictures at day and good in low light condition.

There is 11.27 gb memory available for user and around 1.2 gb ram is free normally.

Now otice some flaws like lag while moving between tabs in settings and also notice some sound coming from camera when it focusing while taking some shots. Don’t know it’s normal or not. It didn’t come everytime i take photo, sometime it comes sometimes not. Did anyone here notice same problem?

one more thing you can slect the gsm band as well for more battery backup like if your opratoe is on gsm900 band slect gsm 900 band from wcdma only→ modem settings— network mode (slect your operator band) for vodaphone mumbai gsm900 and for tata docomo gsm1800 band.. it will not look for 3g signals or other bands then…

for 3g only you can slect wcdma 2100 band as in india 3g works on 2100 band
