What are you all stupid or something? Liquor IS prescribed to a few people by doctors (unrelated to what garbage prescription is that, generally speaking).

Liquor doesn’t do any harm as long as taken in in limited quantity as well.

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and surgery. I have a lot of friends who did that. They study even allopathic surgeries, treatments etc in their curriculum. Some of them incorporate allopathic treatment along with ayurveda.

“With roasted peanuts”, lol. Proud of my kerala. Withdrawal will wreck you though. I have 3 friends who have been through that. I have ice cream addiction and is wrecking me now. pensive

Scientific treatment should be given to those who have alcohol withdrawal symptoms. It can be treated at home or in hospitals with medicines

I think the treatment involves giving the patient low doses of alcohol along with other medicines. Atleast that’s what my friends told me about their treatment.

unnecessary stuff, this is not essential. Let them die if they can’t live without alcohol.

Here people are dying becoz of hunger and for that no precaution is taken. But for alcohol they take precaution.

I have never seen any news about people dying of hunger in Kerala during this war against virus. Source please. Instead I heard about some suicide cases of alcohol withdrawal. Authorities have to take some action. There was a lockdown happened in Kerala just before central government announced throughout the country. During that time Kerala government closed all shops, but kept beverages outlets opened by saying it’s a necessity for some. That was stupid. Instead lots of officials adviced to go with the prescription way. That decision is this one, which came a little late for some addicts. They can’t turn their heads against it. Alcohol is not essential and it’s dangerous and I have never used it in my life. But we can’t preach that to an addicted person.

BAM is Bachelor of Alternative Medicine

Are you sure bro?

Bachelor’s Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine awarded in Tamil Nadu is called BAM. I have seen that in college ads in Trivandrum. Also that prescription in op’s post is from an Ayurveda hospital.

A small google search showing Bachelor’s Degree in Alternative Medicine is Bachelor of Alternative Medicines, B.A.S.M , not BAM.

Will confirm it from my friends back in kerala.
