Mi Box S vs Fire stick 4k? (From the US)

Anything cheap and worth buying from US ? A relative gonna come from them. Suggest please

1. Mi Box has USB port which the fire stick lacks
But performance wise, it is just ok. Lags often but Kodi works great (H264,H265…)
I am not sure about how fire TV stick is performance wise
So if you are looking for Certified Android then may be Mi Box is worth it for extra 15$. If you only stream then fire stick. If you are looking for Echo+Fire stick+ USB port then fire cube @ 80/90$

2. Region doesn’t matter, it will work just fine (Mi Box). App compatibility is based on your location (via the internet connection you use) + default country of your Google account

Personally I’m planning to get the Nvidia shield (compact version with an SD card slot) if the BF price will be 99$

None of these alone will solve the issue of streaming local content . One way to do it is Use miracast and mirror screen but the experience is not great . I have attached HDD to my router and setup a local server . Then the content can be saved in the hdd and be viewed in any device connected to the network . You will of course also need fire stick to stream in tv . But after trying all available options , this the only method that works flawless . If playing locally saved media is the goal , then it’s either this or miracast

Yeah , all cast will work . But i have tried and the experience is not smooth . Same with miracast . Otherwise , copying data on flash drive and playing on tv usb or mi box as someome suggested earlier
