MI Fit - not syncing steps, not tracking sleep

guys, my fit band was working fine till recent.. I decided to wipe my phone clean and ended up with a new version of MI Fit app on my Mi4i. since then, the band is not working.. it tracks steps in the nand, but does not sync / store it into the phone. the band is not capturing the sleep data either (as seen in the app).
Anyone using their MI Fit band with current app from play store?
if your band is working well, can you share the app version and band firmware version please?

mi band firmware version: 1.0.12.5
mi app version: 2.1.4
Algorithm version: 1.0.60
My mi band is working fine with this mi official app and mi band tools…
Using it with iPhone 6s+ so I guess the firmware details etc wont matter. It happened with me when I updated my phone to iOS 9.3.3. All I did was I unpaired the device from Mi fit app and than paired it again. After that the Mi fit app worked. Try that.
Tried pairing it with my lyf phone… Same issue.. unpair/re-paired on my Mi4i, changed app version/reinstalled from play store .. etc.. same issue

my Mi band firmware version is shown as 5.16.4.22 in the mi fit app (under profile>band section..
