Today I received a message from Hdfc Bank that I am eligible for upgrade to Regalia First. Last month they gave me offer for upgrade to millenia credit card but i refused. Is it beneficial to upgrade in Regalia First. Please give your valuable suggestions. Thanks in advance

Yes, Upgrade it…. But see if it LTF or not,, reward% will better…. Moneyback is entry level card.

Yes, it can be LTF by adding any utilities bill or DTH for 90days in active condition. Even you can add yearly lic.

It should be in active status for 90 days, fun part is no need of automated payment to make your card LTF.

Customer care told me there is no minimum payment, but i heard somewhere as DTH is prepaid product. So you have to recharge it with minimum ₹100.

Its not LTF and yearly fees is Rs. 1000/-

I had to call and ask the cc and i also mailed the cc email id they also confirmed it once again if u need the mail id let me know

I registered 5 month ago, 6 dth  recharges done. But my card is not converted into ltf yet. Mailed them on both customerservices.cards and priorityredressal but even they are not replying. RM also gave up after looking in it for an hour. Now i have no clue what i can do further.

This is with reference to your e-mail regarding membership fee on your HDFC Bank credit card account.

We understand your query pertaining to membership fee in your card, we observe from our records that you are holding Money back credit card ( Classic Card ) and your card will be first year free or life time free by opting the below given options,

Option 1 for First Year Free :
a : If you do retail transaction for an amount of Rs. 20000 (within in 90 days from the card setup date)
b : If you register your credit card for any one of the below products within 90 days from the card set up date.
Fastag (or)
EasyEMI (or)
c : If you do 02 ( TWO ) transactions each month for 3 consecutive months

Option 2 for Life Time Free Card : which will be offered if you fulfull any one of the conditions within 90 days from the card set up date.

a. Smartpay one bill registration excluding Pre-paid mobile (or) b. One Assist c. If you do 04 ( FOUR ) transactions each month for 3 consecutive months – (Each transaction worth minimum INR 500)

Big update-

Now HDFC only make ur card LTF, if you register only bills which in your name. Smartpay T&C changed few days ago…..

No bro they just tell like that i had no postpaid connection and no bills in my name they also said me it should be in ur name but i added my frnds dth account because i dont use dth also then too mine got converted to LTF but its better to add in ur name but i dint and mine is LTF

Yes, your card will LTF by adding any name utility payment… But I’m only sharing official T&C…

Just by linking the card to Smartpay via net-banking converts the card to LTF…No bill payments required…I have confirmed this by talking with multiple customer care executives & all of them said the same thing…

I’m an HDFC bank savings account customer & the procedure for me is to login to netbanking, then going to credit card section & in the “Transact” menu, I need to click the “SmartPay” menu…After clicking that, a new window will open showing you two options…First option is for those who already linked their card with smartpay & the below 2nd option will ask you to link your card to smartpay…If you do that, your card will be linked with Smartpay converting your card LTF

Now I am not sure for the credit card customers who don’t have a savings account with HDFC will also have the same netbanking menus or not but you can always check this by logging to your card account on HDFC…If you find the SmartPay feature after logging to your HDFC card account, it will work for you too… smile

Except Diners Club Black (DCB) & Infinia, all other HDFC credit cards can be converted LTF by this method…
