@ OP, You should have mentioned if it’s a laptop or a desktop…

Anyways, If it’s a desktop, open your case & detach your HDD from Sata power & Sata data cable…If you have a DVD drive installed (which most probably you have), take out the Sata data & power cables from that & insert those to your HDD & try another Sata port also…Check in the Bios if your HDD is getting detected or not…If not, your HDD is gone…

If it’s a laptop & you are capable enough to open it, remove the HDD from the Sata port & insert it again…If it still doesn’t get detected, your HDD gone bad…

P.S. If it’s a laptop & you don’t know how to open it & have never opened it before, better you take help from a person who knows how to do it…Service centers will stay closed for now so you may need help from a friend, relative etc who knows about the procedure…

Unfortunately if HDD is gone, there is no way to restore data except paying huge money to data recovery centers…They will charge you so much that you won’t be ready to recover your data…

Only thing you can try now is, Remove that HDD & try in another system…If you have a nearby friend/relative or neighbor, you can try your HDD in their machine…If it still doesn’t get detected, I’m sorry to say but it’s gone…

From next time, always keep taking backups of every important thing you store on your HDD…I personally use Dropbox & Google Drive…

They have branches all over India…But I don’t think they are open now in the pandemic…

First try your HDD in another machine…Only after that, you should try contacting these data recovery centers…

For simple data loss case from hard drive, data recovery charges start from ₹ 2,500. Data recovery charges for hard drive vary due to the cause of data loss and the volume of the hard drive.

If you have any other windows device with you or a bootable cd/dvd with you , you can install linux or windows on a pen drive and then troubleshoot the hdd.

The size of hard disk is wd 1 tb hard disk bro. I check on Google many cases they just remove the internal disk of hard disk and place it in another disk setup with same size and rpm. From that the data can be recovered easily. Is it true? For that what they can charge
