In a major decision, the Supreme Court today said that it was mandatory for movie theatres to play the National Anthem before a movie starts. The SC also made it mandatory that all theatre owners must display the National Flag on the screen before the start of a movie.
The SC said that the National Anthem must be played in full. An abridged version of the National Anthem cannot be played. The Anthem should not be commercially exploited. It’s dramatisation in variety shows is something that cannot be accepted the Bench also held. The SC observed that the time has come when people should feel they live in a nation. People cannot have perceived notions of freedom the Supreme Court also observed.
Why jabardasti ki patriotism 
If patriotism has to be enforced, is it really patriotism… and is it worth enforcing?

This is just ridiculous coming from the Supreme court. In no way or form is the judiciary fit to decide what the people need and want. It exists only to uphold justice and safeguard the Constitution, not to make executive decisions for its populace. This is just like that Bihar high court judge directing all govt servants to mandatorily send their kids to Govt. schools only. Directives like these should come from the govt.s not the courts, as they alone are susceptible to face the brunt of their decisions in the next elections. The already pro-nationalist govt. must be thanking its stars that it didn’t have to be the architect of this polarising and controversial decision

Again Politics on this news too , that too on non political forum . and who started it that too noticable bcoz ppl says everytime patriotism gang start it .
shows we do not know difference between freedom and patriotism . bcoz both are interconnected deeply .
to see this day when we will have own flag tiranga own anthem , freedom fighter struggled and martyred and gave us freedom . AND today the well educated (rubbish) people say oh common why to sing this why we should follow this thing , we should sing when we want , thats good but tell me when you really sing your anthem ? i think rarely bcoz rarely we get opportunity to sing it , still saying why to sing ?
you are going to a movie and many times you find it boring but then too you watch , but singing a 52 seconds anthem is snatching your freedom .
even so well maintained english class will fail to sing it proper and full and dont know its meaning , many even dont know in what position we should follow while singing or even after knowing that they do pose as per wish .
Freedom gaves us this national anthem and today so called freedom activist teach us that why we should sing it . check the different meaning of freedom . in few comments people saying this order is direct from govt lol .
still no one is coming to see you in theatres do what you want , and freedom is not just a word which you can fit where you want , and i am not talking about only this decision but whenever such issue arises few ppl shows their smartness .
and in both case we should not worry – earlier we did not sing it that too ok now if decision is taken so we should respect this , bcoz there should be a base to oppose such decision .
and fyi – disrespecting court order is itself a punishable offence as per our constitution (and that was made by not BJP) still ppl are doing that shows enough freedom for a person .

How can someone force me to stand when I come to theatre only to sit and eat. (It’s totally fine, I can stand hours for Coldplay concert or Cricket match because I am willing to do so) but how dare bjp can force me to stand? Wait. What? No way, It can’t be supreme court’s decision.
Look at my DP, flag is flying but I am sitting and no one can force me to stand up. Even I put my man there just to keep an eye on flag so I can stand up only when it stops flying.

Imho, I don’t understand how can one be proud of something which one doesn’t even had any part in getting. If someone was born in USA, he/she will be proud of USA. If someone is born in India, he/she will be proud of India. But I don’t see why? The only thing which happened is that you were born here.

Very Nice move by Supreme Court. They should add National Anthem as random play anywhere in the movie for max results. This will add special effect and surprise element to the entertainment as well as deep patriotic feeling that lie dormant. By the way, who is the current Chief Justice of India? God bless him Maamu.
When are we getting the certificates of nationalism or patriotism delivered to our houses or for that also we have to stand in line….

what the Judge did wrong ?
means anyone want him not to object a thing in which anthem is not sung fully , either blame baba saheb why he made such constitution where they gave us some fundamental duties , we should only given only fundamental rights , we have right to question but we should not be asked to fulfill our duties and which duty – to respect the procedure to sing national anthem , you sing 12 seconds anthem and the say ho gya bhai apna to rashtra gaan .
funnies part judge given this decision and he is cross checked from birth to death with his any other decision , LOL , so much anger ??? if any judge give judgement (as per constitution rules) he will be checked from birth to death for all his decisions that too without checking the context and base .

and one question to whomever it concerned -
if playing national anthem at movie halls i irrelevant ,
then arguing on supreme court order that too in politicians way (many comments shows that) in a non political forum (deal/discussion forum) is more irrelevant and illogical .
please chose only one side of coin , both head and tell cant be yours . this shows only hypocrisy . bcoz many times admin told not to do politics but still ppl do , today no where the place left bcoz of politics social media is full of these at least please spare this forum . really only 10% of DD members may like politics at such level so please spare 90% . you can do at any other place where it suits .
and personally i feel this decision was not necessary but if taken then not wrong too , it is neither taking your freedom nor in against of any human favor , and if you say it was forced then at time of birth entire constitution and IPC law are forced on you whether you like or not .

A- It is not theatres alone, but schools too.
This is an interim order. I had petitioned that every school in India must play the national anthem. That decision is still pending.
In government schools, the national anthem is played daily, but in some schools they do not play the national anthem. They play hymns.
Q – There were comments on social media that you aren’t telling people to play the national anthem at weddings or at clubs, but only targetting movie halls.
A- Our petition says the national anthem must be played at places where respect to the national anthem is possible.
In weddings, people are dancing, so how can one expect to stand for the national anthem?
During a funeral, when someone has died, people are crying, how can the national anthem be played?
Therefore, I have mentioned the places where the national anthem must be played.
I don’t know idea behind this, why is it important. Let patriotism be in our heart, why to express it forcefully.

Avoid using such expletives toward the judiciary in public forums. If someone want to screw us such proofs would make it easier for them. They show too much activism in places which are not required and retracts back to their cocoon for dire issues. There was this lawyer who use to teach us constitution paper in college who told us appointing SC judges is like family event wherein only few of their “friends and family” get an entry. That is the reason they oppose NJAC
