Anyone here lost genuine Credits? I referred 2 colleagues of mine and they purchased some 5-6 vouchers using my referral codes, thus I accumulated 1500 credits. Don’t want to use those credits in a hurry and will utilize them when some appropriate/utility deal comes at Nearbuy.
Just wanted to check if such credits are also under threat?

It’s a hard question to answer, mate. Being in this side of IT, I know for a fact that Nearbuy may be using some script or algorithm to weed out fake accounts. unfortunately, knowing how these scripts work, few genuine accounts may face the axe as well. You cannot do much other than to hope that your account stays safe. Good luck

Thanks for your reply… My experience of talking to Groupon CustomerCare executives is that they are very customer friendly and their language is extremely polished. They sounds like their training/pedagogy has been same as that of Amazon’s customer care executives.
So with a company like that, I guess Credits are safe in account, and in case of any IT related glitch, it can definitely be sorted out.

What I guess is that they are tracking those vouchers which were redeemed instantly without actually being redeemed.

I have not spoken to Nearbuy/Groupon CC yet so cannot comment on their quality.My preferred mode of communication with ecommerce companies is email since email can also be used as a proof in court of law if need arises. Most of customer care reps blabber anything over the phone but when it comes to email, they are very careful.

Regarding Amazon CC, I have spoken/chatted to them a few times. Without a doubt, Amazon front line agents from Chat/phone support are polished & customer friendly. I cannot share the same sentiment for Amazon supervisors though. One of the Amazon supervisor backtracked on a commitment he made on a live chat. When I confronted him with proof, he argued that there was something wrong with my understanding. The guy was very curt.

Regarding Nearbuy credits, keep a close watch on it. Don’t keep too high hopes from Nearbuy CC when things go south.

Can’t say for sure until we have enough credible data to substantiate the same. ATM, everyone is just speculating. We may get more clarity in couple of days. I’m pretty sure we won’t get any official reply from Nearbuy on this. They might just shrug of their responsibility claiming that user has violated T&C.

BTW, all my accounts were genuine referrals. It seems like everything is intact as of now.

In any case these credits are not my hard-earned money… I do lots of such referral for Free [Have successfully verbally referred atleast 10+ people to try Amazon’s services]. So, even if Nearbuy is not able to honor the credits because of their managerial constraints, its okey with me. During past few hours and after starting this discussion, I have made up my mind that I won’t use the credits just for the sake of using.
