Use AVG Internet Security. Using from 2 years no problem.

AVG free is not that bad.

But if you want premium security.
Just go with webroot antivirus.
This antivirus has so less impact on system that you won’t believe there’s any antivirus in your system. And it detects and protects pretty well.
ESET is also good. But webroot is always my fav.
And if you’re not so advanced user never pay for so called expensive "internet security’ or so called ‘total security’.

How much does Webroot cost? I can’t see it at Amazon.
How do you rate Mcafee Antivirus?

Here you can download the free trial.

Man, I need full version. This one seems to be cloud based. I want an offline one.
Additionally, the licence itself is 1665. Can’t spend that high on an antivirus. Any suggestions for Kaspersky?
I’ll try for bitdefender otherwise.

Never ever use mcafee. It is worse than a virus. I am using avast and satisfied with it, you can try it.

Why is Mcafee worst?
I used it back in 2005 for around 4-5 years and found it very good and stable as compared to Norton

I had retail license of mcafee and used it for few weeks. it was using too much resources and made pc unresponsive sometime. Mcafee firewall was buggy and pain in a$$. I wasted few hours trying to fix it (firewall connection/whitelist) and then uninstalled it. Not worth our time or money.

No Antivirus can beat Corona, stop your incorrect thinking. You need to get back to real world. Americans also thought the same and see their situation.

It used to be good in early 2000s, then they sold the company to someone else.

Use avast free with windows firewall. There is no need to spend.

You mentioned still using windows 7 earlier in which case I strongly suggest to upgrade to at least win 8.1(you can use classic shell/open shell to make its start menu & interface very similar to win 7). Running an out of support windows is very risky especially if connected to net most of the time. No antivirus can help against a malware exploiting a system vulnerability for which microsoft will not issue a security patch.

Just use the win 10 in forever trial mode, its only restrictions are no personalization options(like changing wallpaper, color themes etc). You can also try manually upgrading from win 7 pro/ultimate to win 10 pro as this method still works(down the win 10 iso then run the setup.exe inside iso).
