Hi everyone.

One of my friends took asmission in a college about one and half months back but later got admission in another college for a better course and under government quota so he left the previous collge. He didn’t attend even a single class.
I’m trying to get fees that he paid at the previous college refunded but they aren’t giving any way. Its around 25K . Can you guys suggest any way that I can get the fees refunded?

Do you have any receipts for 25k? Did your friend get the seat through govt seat selection process or through management quota?

@singh21 Most of the private colleges wont refund the money, if they do.. max 50%…. try your luck…. Before getting admission, did they give anything in written about refund??

No they haven’t mentioned. They have only mentioned that regarding application fees only.

Unlikely then. Consult any lawyer or legal authority.

What about legal notice? Do you have any idea about how much will that cost and what would be the implications?

I would suggest you to send an written application requesting refund, through Registered AD post. (without wasting much time). Already month+ has been passed.
In your request you may also ask them for reason, if they do not agree to refund.

In the mean time, you may please check for legal formalities…
