Need help in porting from Airtel (in Delhi)

I’m finally porting my prepaid number from Airtel after 10 years of “patronage”.

So want to know which would be the best network, in terms of signal and costs. Im not a heavy user.

I’ve lately been using a spare Idea sim that i had at home and like the “special offers” they keep putting in my account. The network too is not bad and I’m finding the internet better than airtel surprisingly.

So I need some advice, which would be the best operator to shift to? I’m obviously thinking Vodafone, but not sure how good is the network, and if it’s more expensive than Airtel.

Are there any companies giving offers to people porting?

P.S- I was also thinking of Reliance Jio, haven’t researched much about it but dont think are even giving regular sims to people right now. Any possibility of porting if I can get Samsung eligible device?

Thanks in advance, any help would be great

What!

Seriously! Even i have been using airtel since 2006! Planned to port from airtel because of worst service! https://cdn0.desidime.com/smileys/furious.gif
Right now most of us should thank Jio! No more recharges for any other number for next 90 days https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

Not really, Vodafone has gone bonkers with their network cause of the 4G upgrade. @nujabs55 : If you’re not into 4G, you should port out to !dea. They have 900mhz network which is far better in Delhi now and cheaper 3G plans.

I was Vodafone customers for 7-8 years and recently moved to !dea. While in 4G Airtel or Vodafone speed always below 7-8mbps for me, !dea gives the same speed in 3G. Though I still use all networks including MTNL, Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance GSM and JIO, my main number is port out to !dea.

For offers, you do the first recharge of 111Rs and the benefits are:

All Loc/STD @1.5p/sec + 50 MB 3G Data for 7 days
Get Full talk time on Rs 50, Rs 100 & Rs 150 for 90 days
Free 20 Local-National SMS daily (30 days), first 2 SMS daily charged @ base tariff
Free Missed Call Alert service for 30 days.Users who don’t give the opt in confirmation, will be deactivated and churned from the service on the end date of trial pack and subscribers who have opted for the service will be moved to default MCIA Pack ( Rs30/month) post TPCG confirmation.

You will also be offered 1GB 3G for 156Rs and 2GB 3G for 225Rs for the next 3 months.

Lol I know, tried changing 3-4 times in the past year , but always left it.. mainly out of laziness…

This is time my balance is all over, and I’m gonna do it lol. I know I’ve been such a fool using their sh*t service, spending double and suffering their network, not even getting any recharge offers.

That lady called just now to convince me to stay, requesting with attitude, I was like eff off.. not budging this time lol

Thanks man, I have an Idea connection that I’ve been using, and I know it’s good, I’ve been paying 19rs every month for 30p/min , Full Talktime on 40 & 70 and good 3g offers and speeds too, the only thing that I’ve noticed is the network is good where it is, but many areas in delhi, theres no network at all, specially indoors. Even in my room it doesn’t work most of the times, but I guess thats the problem with all operators. But thanks for the feedback on Vodafone, need to think again now.
