Hello Friends,
I am now sadly a Airtel Customer(Popularly known as Chortel) from 25/07/2019 as TATA DOCOMO is now completely Airtel.

So i am totally new to airtel and dont have any info about it.
So need some info from fellow dimers.

Telecom Circle – U.P. EAST

1)It will be very useful for me to get some important USSD codes.

2)Actually i recharged today my no. with RC35.

Received TT-26.66(dedicated TT, Validity – 28 days) + 100 MB. Airtel didn’t added this to my main balance. Also these looters didn’t added 100MB to my 1200MB left data balance. With TATA DOCOMO i was able to add TT in main balance and also data would be added.
Means Airtel didn’t add TT to main balance for these service validity packs ??

2)With TATA DOCOMO my (outgoing validity + data balance) is already 12/09/2019. But Airtel didn’t extended it with RC35 done today. It was not with TATA DOCOMO.
Means Airtel didn’t extend the outgoing validity
for (next 28 days) if anyone recharge with RC35 before or near the expiry of outgoing validity. Or even if we recharge more than once in a month.

3)How to stop auto debit of 23/- ??

Missing TATA DOCOMO😢 (The Best Company with Reasonable Price and Good Service)

VODAFONE is 100% better than Airtel(CHORTEL)

Any help will be grateful.
TIA

Airtel doesn’t extend your validity (original) if the current recharged pack has validity which would end before your original validity, likewise for greater validity pack than your current one it adds from the date of pack recharge.
Eg If you have a pack ending on 31st Aug and you recharge with 35 (28days) it remains same but if you recharge with 399 the 84 days count starts from the recharge date.
To stop auto debit use *121*777#
You can use your main balance to activate data and smart packs using the app.
If this is your secondary number my suggestion would be to port it BSNL (75 for 6 months is a better option)

Thanks for reply bro.
On dialing *121*777# > pressed 1 > (Sorry , This pack is currently not available for you)

Thanks for your suggestion but Can’t port as high main balance.

Yes the cc said the same. AFAIK Vodafone – Idea didn’t do that. They allow to stop auto debit any day as we wish.
CC also told me that i have to dial this code every month one after other to stop auto debit. Not only once for forever. Is it true @desiman bro ??

Chortel will be chor only, they never change.
Using Airtel only for incoming purpose.
Last month i have recharged with 299 for Amazon prime benefit. Still they are deducting balance for direct video calls and 1860 series calls.

@jennyllwilliams why don’t you recharge with any of the combo packs like rs. 119/148/179 etc only…. these packs give unlimited incoming & outgoing(STD & Local) and 1 gb/day for 28 days…. no need to recharge for increasing the incoming validity with these rs23/35 recharges….. I always do recharge these combo packs

Here is a bigh problem

AIRTEL bought TD now airtel asking to replace the TD sim cards.
for TD secondary sim owners the data is useless because primary is jio and 1.5gb is sufficient. Switching data to the secondary Sim jio incoming stops working.
you cannot switch over to both volte because mobile only supports 1 volte and airtel shutting down 3G in 2020 migrating to volte we again have to start carrying 2 cell phones.

I had 65 bucks with 90 days validity I kept it untouched and switched dialing selection to jio

there is no free lunch. they are doing business, not charity.
if you want to keep the sim alive, that is the cost you pay. or you discontinue the sim. decision is yours only.
but the minimum is 23/24 and not 35. and if you know where to recharge, even that 23/24/35 you get back as cashback.

there are not just one but multiple handsets in the market that supports dual volte. all realme handsets support dual volte. most recent mi handsets also support dual volte. you dont neet to carry 2 mobiles, only need to get a recent handset.

there are two types of 18xx numbers. 1st where the receiver pays the charge and for the caller it is toll free and the second where the caller has to pay the charge.

That’s the whole issue. Perfectly working phone bought for 10000 bucks now in 2 Years need to sell off and buy another phone for 10000.

When 5g is launched have to wait for another 1 Year to partly recover the dual volte phone investment and buy a new 5G handset of again 10000.

Whether to invest in mutual funds or keep upgrading phone?😁
