You dont have to recharge per month if port to BSNL from any other network?? Atleast incoming will be be free right for that time period?? Anyone using BSNL as 2nd/3rd/4th or 5th number, maybe, and did recharge with any of these plans??? please reply!!

I too disowned BSNL broadband many years now … but the way chortel and others are abusing customers now it seems bsnl prepaid plans, where using asfor incoming only, are better than others… for the time being! rolleyes

you’d be really lucky if it is still available in the your circle.
expect few, all plans can be activated from main balance. self-care SMS or USSD (★444★AMOUNT#) work even if CC is unawares or deny it.
i think @rajrocks mentioned that recently 136 is gone out of AP. @panchabhut @Spock @alienteck said that now the most beneficial and cheapest option for those who don’t use the number much, is to get 180days SIM validity at 76Rs.
because in 153 rupee plan, there was is some other benefit like main balance and complimentary data.

many here simply didn’t use the (free) extra 50% balance offer they gave before Deepawali 2017 http://google.com/search?q=site%3Absnl.co.in+%2...

many years back, i would always curse BSNL network.
a typical ONGC employee had BSNL and voice was choppy and call drops.
later i realised that the fool always kept calls on speaker mode and had same issue with other operators too.

after @getready many times confirming decent 4G speeds https://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/...
we now have a relative’s tablet and computers set up to use the 1098 plan (truly unlimited internet, calling) for streaming channels and TV.
it helped that we (m y cousin) had filled my aunt’s number to 5-6000 during Oct 2017,"50% extra " offer.
doesn’t cost much for unlimited 4G and calling.. but they hardly watch news and few programs, besides youtube devotional songs. sad

with BSNL (and also MTNL) one is assured of absolutely no gimmicks, WYSIWYG.
and since we know, call centres are outsourced, unlike @suman1520 we always first try to put our points and get help by emotional blackmailing or talking to floor supervisor.
their only major annoying issue is unscheduled data outages at times (late nights only) when they have network upgradation or server maintenance going on.
