Need Suggestion for iPad2 screen

I have an old ipad 2 for which the screen is broken, but it’s functional.
When i checked with local screen re-placers, they charge around 2500. I’m not in a mood to spend so much money in this bad economy.
Any suggestions if i can buy some screen cheaper online and fix it by myself?
