Hi I need to open an online savings bank account like KOTAK 811 with minimum debit card and no other chanrges and minimum balance. Please suggest me with names of banks with online opening and zero balance with debit card or seeding with phonepay.
I opened kotak 811 with my adhaar and pan but at that time my adhaar was not linked with mobile number and no otp receved . Now that account is Kotak Lite without debit card and so no use. unable to give kyc again as no branch in my area.
so please suggest a new online bank with zero balance
thanks

Which of these zero balance accounts provide the Rupay Platinum Debit card?
Now that Paytm Payments Bank isn’t opening any new accounts, what are the other options? Also, anyone know when Paytm will start accepting new account opening applications?

Great thread ! So many information.

But can someone explain why to open such online accounts at all in the first place when you already have regular bank accounts ? What are the advantages and disadvantages ?

I have several regular bank accounts with private and nationalized banks out of which two are zero balance accounts they were opened as salary accounts. Apart from them all of us also have multiple accounts in Paytm, Payzapp, PhonePe, Freecharge, JioMoney, Amazon Pay, Bhim, Tez, Citruz, Samsung Pay and the list is endless. I also have mutliple credit cards including Amex, HDFC, StanChart, Kotak… So I really want to understand why should I go for such online zero balance bank accounts.
