Let me try and help. (If I may) https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_rolleyes.gif

Firstly , Cancel it directly by calling Indigo/logging into to “My Booking” Section of Indigo website. Here → https://www.goindigo.in/information/travel-info...

Second , Write to Paytm after Cancelling your e-ticket from Paytm app. Mention that you have directly cancelled with the Airline (which they strangely expect the customer to do) !

Third , The amount, if any, will be refunded to your Paytm wallet after deducting :
1) Cancellation charges by Indigo
2) Paytm charges 200-225 bucks
3) Cashback amount will be adjusted in cancellation refund

In all, its a cumbersome process and at the end of this whole process you may end up getting nothing! https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_cry.gif

Q. Whats possible to reduce the loss ?
A. Absolutely nothing, just try the above flow and calculate if you are getting anything.

P.S. I have been through same waters in recent times. https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_surprised.gif

IMO, don’t cancel the booking.

Because, if you do. They will adjust the cashback if cancellation charges are more than 2.5k which usually is the case.

So. You will lose both cashback and 1.7k when you cancel.

For indigo, the cancel charges are around 2.5k.

You did raise a good point here about the cashback getting reverted. However, as per the new DGCA rules, every airline has to refund at least the taxes and UDF/ADF.

I haven’t yet cancelled any tickets booked via Paytm so I am not sure about their cancellation charges as an agent. CC @19 Female Gurgaon

The cashback wasn’t reverted in my case.
But I didnt get any refund either. I was getting some 375 INR after deducting each and every charge. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_confused.gif

OP has to see the Fare class and take a call on it.
Talking to Paytm CC will make it further clear about what she/he may get after everything is settled among Paytm, the travel website and the Airline. https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif
