Hi All,
OLA Cabs Charged me Rs 523 for 8 KMs Ride. Initial fare estimate was Rs 100 to Rs 125 but at the time of drop my family was shocked to see the charges. Is their any hope of fare review.
Any suggestions will help me.

Yes, but they are still operating separately.
Contact customer care mentioning your crn no. They will refund the extra money to your wallet.

THEY ARE not refunding the extra charges charged as 2.5 peak time FOR Mumbai…. they said it was rains… floods.. traffic so demand was higher and if we took ride we agreed for the 2.5 times higher charges

I traveled with ola about 8 months ago for the first time and was unknown about the payment of tolls. The driver asked me to give toll on the toll plaza and I did so because during booking it was clearly mentioned that tolls and parking are to paid my the passenger. But when I recieved the invoice then it was added in that too, so I was charged double for the same. 
I drop a mail stating the scenario and they simply refunded my amount into ola wallet without arguing with me!
After that I have traveled a lot but never became a victim of surge charge, tolls and MCDs!
now they are just giving lectures on facebook + twitter about the peak pricing surge and not refunding… looks like they are now full charged up for LOOTING

When they demand of cabs are high. They cunningly increase the fare of cabs by upto 5 times or so.
Like peak hours 8 pm. 10 am etc

so why did they charge 2.5 times during non peak hours of 11 am to 5 pm for Mumbai 2 days back….
there should be a limit of looting

same doubt… did they tell before the ride or after the ride.. mean at least can we know just after the start of ride?..or only after completing trip..
Any idea if they have surcharge for airport flat rate too?

there should be a limit of looting
whenever there is a shortage of cabs , they can declare peak hours, there is no fixed rule . Peak hour can be even at 3 am

No, uber driver knows about surge pricing. They even get higher amount during surge.

Experience was horrible…Uber is very quick in this type of cases. Below is the Ola reply.

We would like to inform you that as I checked with the booking CRN XXXXXX and found that while making a booking you have selected it as airport hence you have been charged as per airport charges.
I have recalculated the bill under normal charges and as a gesture of our regret, we shall credit back Rs.376/- to your Ola money account which will reflect in a maximum of 48 hours. "

Hey great and some people live to be over 100..
Same here. Never seen uber fare change in middle of journey unless u change something in destination.
Price shown at start of journey is final amount i pay.
5 out of my 10 times uber fare has changed for me inspite of taking same route and destination.
Now I have stopped using uber, use ola and in ola share once you get the price reflected in app before start of journey you have to pay in advance and it never changes even if driver take any route.
for me, ola fares changed at the end of journey. many times ola added tax over what was originally shown. Also had more driver refusals with ola than with uber. however, the service quality changes from city to city and in some cities, ola is better.
uber and ola strike in mumbai
nothing will happen, if they do strike… ola uber is not govt companies.
