My Ola ride for about 15-20 kms ride is keep on cancelled at the time of pickup (even for scheduled ride) ! Faced same issue for 3 times on the same day (Within city limits only) . I hope drivers wont know about the drop location without sharing OTP.
Drivers saying we’re not cancelled the booking and its system based !
Then what may be the fault ? Do i need to go for rentals for the ride above 15kms ? Or my Ola account problem ?

Is that so.. ? Then why they’re always asking the drop location via call before 5 mins of arrival on pickup ? (even experienced it last week)

May be they’re confirming drop location and rejecting it saying system issue like autorickshaw drivers sweat_smile

Paying with cash only all the time in recent days.. ! They’re cancelling before 5-10 mins of arrival itself (even promising that coming to pickup location and later saying cancelled due system issue but for me showing as driver cancelled)

PS: Not facing any issues while booking for a ride under 10-12kms

There is a trick played by Uber drivers (not sure about the Ola). They call us to know to find out the destination. They dont turn up if they dont like to go to that destination.
Dont pick up the call until they come near to you at least 500 mtrs.

or is it that they dont want to ride on wallet / dc / GC payments and only accept cash rides

They don’t know about our destination till giving up our otp for the ride, so why mostly they’re asking for the drop location as well as payment mode before arrival itself (they will ask us to cancel if we opted for Olamoney/any online payment in most of the cases)

They also don’t come near unless you tell location.
Don’t tell location and don’t cancel by yourself. They have limited number of cancellation and they don’t get new trip if the current booking is not fulfilled or cancelled.
We are going to back to old auto rickshaw days where they used to say No based on their wish
Customer is still not king.

If they call and ask for drop location and the drop location is somewhat remote in 9 out of 10 cases expect the driver to cancel. It is the only reason why they call.

Wondering if these can drivers using any app to fake their current location?
Recently I booked a cab via Ola..even though the driver is 1.5kms away i got notification that the driver has arrived at the pickup spot.
When I called, he said he will be there in 5min and guess what he was travelling in a different direction and after about 5min booking got cancelled and they levied 50rs cancellation fee.
Had to call them to waive off the cancellation fee
Any similar experience?

If they do like that u have option to raise issue immediately like “Driver started trip without me”..

Fare is show once u book the ride, so give a try with UBER.
