Online betting is illegal in India?

Any experienced dimer has any knowledge of legality of online betting sites for Indian users? I just noticed bet365 accepts Indian cards and addresses and it even offers 2500 Rs as special bonus. But as far as I know any type of betting is illegal in India. So what’s the current scenario?

Bhai don’t even try wid ur indian card…
It is illegal in India though u can play online in few states which operates online lotteries but don’t use indian cards…use neteller instead…bet365 is good for Indians if ur big player u can visit betfair.com not accepting INR but rates are good…
Edit: Though few indian cards work but entry on ur statement can put u in trouble so stay away
