Any way to make rent payment more rewarding? Netbanking and bank transfers don’t get anything. If these can be made using credit cards, even with minimum points categories, one is still getting something back.
In August, Payzapp went 10X for payment through Diners. Redgiraffe with Payzapp could theoretically give a lot of points, but Payzapp was removed as 10X partner after a month.

Any other way to get at least a few points for rent payment with CCs?

Get an add on card for your landlord and set his limit equivalent to rent amount, ask him to use it for his monthly expense. And you enjoy to rewards points.

Is redGiraffe Safe to use if I have to pay rent of 10000, have you used it yourself, please advice as i am apprehensive about it because i have never used it before. Also if you advise to go ahead is there any referral bonus i can get?

Yes. It’s very good. Go ahead.
I am using it since last 2 years. No problems at all.
No referral benefit though.

Can you please make it more clear? I’m looking for more details like the time it takes to create an account or if there is any time needed for any approvals (like any kind of verification)
And lastly how does the transaction appear in landlord’s account? Like any usual bank transfer? Because it is little hard to convince my owner about how the amount is transferred, like he is not aware of these websites.

It will take few minutes to create an account and then days to get it verified and then again few days once u add it as biller on your bank website.
Payment would come as redgiraffe in landlord’s account

Which credit card linked with Payzapp will give the best returns, for rent payments?

You can choose the card that you already have. Your rewards will be based on your card feature s and PayZapp will offset the fees for red Giraffe.

If you are looking for new card specifically for rewards on rent payments then check for SCB Ultimate or SBI Prime. They had 3-5% cashback on utility payment and RedGiraffe was considered utility, not sure if that is still applicable though.  I don’t have them so can’t confirm.

If you have high income and/or good relationship with bank, you can try for DCB or infinia which has 3.33% cashback for all spends.

Good luck plus1

Correction.
SC Ultimate will give 3.3% rewards for all online/offline txns(even for rent payment trough redgiraffe)
SBI Prime – eff from 25 July, 2019 SBI Cards removed RedGiraffe from their bill payment gateway. So no more 5% cb on rental payments. I have downgraded my SBI Prime to SimplyClick after this step by SBI Cards.

Registered rental agreement is not mandatory.

Rental agreement on a stamp paper with/with out Notarized is also accepted.

PayZapp will offset the fees for red Giraffe….means…..suppose 50 on 10000 charged by redgiraffe normally….so via payzapp this 50 wont be charged?

Thanks for letting me know. I don’t have SC Ultimate. Used to have Prime sometime ago, but dropped it due to lack of targeted spending.

My spends now go on AMEX or HDFC Diners club miles. Also have Yes Premia. Yes has sent mails for exactly this, but with a few terms and conditions regarding 6 months’ payments for retaining the points etc. Have a few other CCs line Axis FK etc.

Not sure whether SmartPay with Diners Club miles will get the points. Never tried DCB.
Rent payment is high, just need to check which CC will give best RoI.

On PayZapp, for a bill of 10000, use “BillPay” code to get 250 (5% up to 250)  as cashback which will offset the Rs.50 charged by RedGiraffe and you will get 200 extra as savings.
