PAN-Aadhaar link mandatory or just another BS?

As the title asks. Tomorrow is the last date of linking. I don’t want to waste my time like last time I did adding my mobile no. with Aadhaar. Have all of you done this? They say the PAN card will be inoperative if I don’t do this. Is this just another random threat of them or what? Please advise.

I think u have to link… Because sooner they might remove PAN and bring everything under Aadhaar… That’s what agenda of Aadhaar is… Now itself I see n some places both are being considered same
You need to do it sooner or later, you may as well be done with it. You either way have to fill in your aadhar no even if you have not linked it when filing itr.

Why you want to escape this? Why not link them if you have both.?
Because I was amongst the first to do everything. Linking aadhaar with bank. Linking mobile with aadhaar etc. Then I realised what aadhaar is and how it is implemented so now I am not gonna do anything unless absolutely necessary. Needless to say I don’t like circus.
Thanks others for replying and stating that the timeline has been extended. I will wait till March end.

No govt has increased the time limit for linking ur PAN WITH UR Aadhar.. read the TOI
