In last 15 minutes I have received 20+ SMS saying that my PayTM account will become dormant from Feb 2020. Strange thing is that it is coming from valid sender (VM-PAYTMB).
I think PayTM forgot to turn off their KYC system after government removed the KYC requirement few months ago.
Are you guys also receiving this SMS right now?

It seems you believe that any AB-PAYTMA type number is genuine,you are wrong.Anybody can generate numbers like VM-PAYTMB or AM-SBIMA etc.Always check the app itself or email from official source(match the link url with site names so you don’t fall for phishing links like paytm.help1.com etc).
Btw you can always check your paytm wallet expiry date by clicking on your profile in paytm app. RBI hasn’t removed any kyc requirements for online wallets,they just extended it by 6 months(they have done this 2-3 times now,excuse being given as too much time taken for kyc without aadhaar).
it is not from PAYTM , it would be better to stay away from such messages , just neglect them
No, I have not received any message from them but the user above me is right that anyone can generate such number. It is preferable to check from your email or app itself.
