My sympathies with you … but 2 things…

1. This the wrong place for this topic
2. Don’t come to any conclusion so early… there are many people here … who have very good experience with Paytm. So just contact them through facebook or twitter … listen them … and then put your frustration here …

paytm won’t do these kind of cheap things.
I have seen paytm refunding money for the people whose account had had been hacked.

Tricky but :
There may be a chance earlier you tried to transfer but failed . That time paytm server given time of 20 days to that user to get money by opening a mail account with that gmail.

Tell paytm about the fraud tranfer.. They will revert the money back to your wallet

bro , seriously iam telling you ,
YOU CANT BLAME PAYTM FOR THIS AND … PAYTM DOES NOT EVER DO SUCH TYPE OF THINGS .
one of my friends works in Paytm Noida as Programmer (backhaul engineer).
He told me that Paytm has some kind of strict policies regarding wallet balance (which i cant share here )

Do note one thing that the reason for this will be due to that
1)u shared ur paytm account details earlier with ur friend or any other.
2) u transferred / used ur account for shopping and u forget
3) one of ur friend knows ur account details and he did so

Do not blame Paytm hypothetically .
Also note one thing – PAYTM gives enough wallet balance to their employees as incentive every time (also as bonus) , so they are not going to do such cheap activities just for 50 / 100 rs.
Just think about this .

there should be otp verification for all wallet transactions…that will put an end to a majority of such incidents. i’m surprised that paytm has allowed a major security loophole to exist in their system for so long…probably because there are no RBI guidelines for wallets like there are for credit cards and netbanking.

If there are having otp verification for paytm transfer,then all loots goes down for those who having 30-40 paytm accounts made on another friend’s or someone’s number.Because everytime there is a need of otp for transfer. It’s true !!

Yeah, I also agree the OTP option should be added for cash trasfer. …but only Mobile OTP isn’t good.. OTP should be sent to mobile and email id simultaneously… cuz mobile network coverage isn’t the same everywhere
