paytm leaking card details

today afternoon i received a message from citibank that “Transaction at STEAMGAMES.COM 4259522985Hamburg DE on 21-Jul-18 was declined on card ending 0504 as a replacement credit card has been issued. Please use it in future.”
i was surprised as i did not i initiated any such transactions. moreover i upgraded my card in which fraudulent transaction was tried long ago and was issued a new card and luckily for that reason the fraudulent transaction got declined.
after that i spent my whole evening searching for possible cause.
i usually save my card details in 3 sites, Amazon, flipkart and paytm. i checked all the sites along with other sites like payu, freecharge, mobikeik etc whether the card in question was saved or not. i could not find anything. lastly i remembered one paytm account which i do not use much and voila opening it shows that the o ly card that is saved there is the disputed card.
now since the card is not valid i did not call citi customer care and i think citi CC has role to play here.
shall i write to paytm CC? My active paytm account have two cards saved as i need to pay for cab frequently.
so what should be the best approach here?

More chances there to be cloned or caught in camera.
I had a similar experience with Amazon. They sneakily charged me 12.99$ for three months before I had to call Amazon.COM and cancel that. I have not opened my amazon.com for more than 3 years, but they attached my amazon.in credit card to it and automatically took a subscription to prime monthly. better not to use credit cards at all.
load money in paytm wallet for cab and delete card details. better still, use UPI option for cab payment.
