If dedicated GPU isn’t required and can can wait a little while the Zen 2 APU’s should be arriving in a few months.
Also OEM Ryzen 1/2 CPUs are available really cheap in Aliexpress. Since these aren’t sold in retail boxes and so the parcel size is quite small maybe customs can be evaded? Any idea regarding it?

Don’t have any personal experience with CPUs from AE..but yeah high chances these skipping customs
Not sure about the current price but MD Computers & It depot sold Ryzen 5 1600 for 7-8k sometime back..may be u can still get it for the same price offline?

PS: I Have Ryzen 5 1600 for 3 years and it is pretty powerful (Never felt the need to upgrade)
can get stable OC @ 3.8ghz with stock cooler ..heard even 4ghz is possible with the newer batches

Until a few months ago the Ryzen 7 1700x was selling for ~$115 IIRC in AE excl. discounts if any.
I am waiting to see if the prices of 3600/3700 go down substantially after the 4000 series launches. At this point even in the very unlikely scenario that Intel launches something better I will still go with AMD. If not for AMD, Intel would still be selling quad cores for 20-30k.

Will suggest you to wait till October and buy new Ryzen 4000 series CPU ,they might also release budget 3000 series CPUs

Not expecting too much from our lootera distributors
They hardly offer any discount..even if there’s a steep price cut in the US market, here they will sell for at least 30% extra
Too sad…the only way to get CPUs/GPUs at best price are local stores/distributors and not amazon/flipkart pensive

Ryzen 3 3200G : 7.5-8k
B450M MB : 6K
G-Skill Ripjaws V 8GB DDR4 RAM : 3.5K
Cooler Master MEW 450/550W PSU : 2.5/3.5K
Case – 3k

Total- 24k
Ryzen 3 3200G comes with iGPU (Vega 8)…so u can try it..use the setup for now, save some money and then either get gtx 1650 for 11/12k or grx 1660 for 16/17k (Depending on your needs)

PS: Do Check the MB’s supported RAM list…before making the purchase decision

But bro then there will be issues with motherboard where we will be required to update bios to support it when new processor is released? @getready

YES
These MB brands are pretty fast in releasing updates for their older gen MBs to support newer CPUs

So in this case we will have to go to some computer Store or friend who has older processor to update our bios. right

Yes its absolutely fine. Only issue is lack of HW support for AV1 codec from a future-proofing POV. To be fair other than Mediatek Dimensity 1000 SoC nothing else does. Youtube is already making the transition and most of the big players are on-board. Without HW support AV1 coded videos will still play but CPU usage will be quite high.

You don’t need dedicated graphics card for even 4K video playback. Even 3200G is overkill for your needs.
