had ordered a Stanley hammer from pepperfry – which was shown as 50% discount – for Rs 249 (mrp 499). The delivered item has an mrp label of Rs 231.. when I checked other sites, they are selling the item at 231.
soo much for their promos, emails.. I blindly trusted them for good prices without cross-checking when buying..
there is no response from customer care for my emails.. got fedup and have triggered a return now.
so, it’s goodbye pepperfry for me now onwards…
guys, beware of this issue with them.

@dealshunter They will mostly refund your money without taking the item back. Enjoy!
Guys, i would seriously suggest you to explore your local supermarkets before buying the items online. I’m an avid online shopper and bought most of the items including groceries online from last 3-4 years. I always assumed that online prices will be cheaper than offline. The other day i stepped into Spar supermarket in Bangalore, i was shocked to see the prices for most household items were almost 50-70% cheaper than Amazon. I agree that electronics is still cheaper online but most of the daily use items are sold offline with decent discounts. .
OP – tweet them on twitter with the images of mrp shown… they will call and resolve the matter
And u call u’self @dealshunter … huh…

No bro, this happens with all of us.. now, fight it over and get ur money back…
That’s fine. But, he is making us aware to check MRP before we buy online by seeing attractive discounts.
Now a days many websites are using these kind of tactics to fool customers and make customers purchase things that they don’t even need in the name of giving them at huge discounts.
