instant activate, verify via aadhaar based sms otp, no need to visit kotak bank.. (use new mobile number to signup on kotak bank which was never linked to any bank account).
after opening your kotak bank account, add Rs300 via debit card or kotak UPI.
now the phonepe app trick:-
open your phonepe app refer link and install phonepe app (use same smartphone, no need to change your smartphone because offer is valid for one time per smartphone, personally tested)
now signup/login your phonepe app with your kotak bank linked mobile number
link your kotak bank account on phonepe app (use your kotak bank virtual card number to create UPI PIN)
