Hello dimers,

I want to go for aa solo trip this weekend. It is too late to planning something my own. Hope dimers can help me to plan something.

I don’t want to do anything fancy or adventurous. I just want to enjoy a peaceful environment, read few books from my list, some good food, and good music. Also, I prefer to travel by Air or train, and less by road.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in Advance https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Goa might be bad for loneliness https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

I haven’t visited Pondi till now. A friend of my friend was spending last few weekends in Auroville. I don’t think she will make a bad choice. I think I have to rely on buses for the travel.

Honestly, I haven’t explored Goa properly. Most of my trips are with friends and ended up in late night parties and resorts. The good thing about the Goa is, I can easily travel by flight.

Most of them sounds adventurous, by road trips. Will that suitable for a solo traveller?

While in Bangalore I prefer to spend few hours of sunday at lalbaug botanical garden (usually there in October). Give it a try if rains have paused. Nice place to sit and read too.

RichSoul firstly sorry ’bout the accidental tag in some other thread. (Flipkart DnD topic) [unscheduled maintenance or silent server update continuously throwing 503 and throwing me off-track in various tabs https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif ]

good to know you are trying to get some ‘me myself RichSoul’ time.

you are indeed right about 25 hours being a rather short notice.
in so far as I know, solitude is a state of the mind and if one can control the monkey on our mind (sheep/lambs jumping analogy)
then reading some good booking in pleasant weather sipping at the odd hot beverage can be done anywhere in peaceful (shaant) environs.

that you’d prefer not to go through the ghitpit of road travel restricts the options.

on the face of it, some place closer to where you are would look like a better option. (less travel = less fatigue when you have to pull yourselves up on Monday or Tuesday).

sorry no direct idea of Puddu.
Goa, if you already been there and know where the save cabins/ cottages can be booked with less tourist footfalls, then go for it.
[but i still do not trust you for not giving into the same temptations again https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif … what if instead of just being in the hammock reading , you again end up in a smoky dimly lit pub in your dance shoes!]
