Please Help Regarding Jet Airways Spelling Mistake in Alphabet!

@suhas883897 Spelling mistake in a domestic flight ticket in INDIA is not a blunder but you should not be allowed to travel if it was an international flight but as you said the ticket price is less then 1500 so it’s domestic flight.Now coming to the point, you will not going to face any problems due to a letter different name as you can say you added K as your middle name and it wrongly sticked to suhas. but if you flight tickets are cancellable then i suggest you to cancel and re-book again . but if you can’t cancel then don’t worry, it will not going to create a blunder. tagging some more users for your help. i hope this helps! Insignificant and small corrections can be done by front staff , without any objection.

+ who checks the I’d card so minutely unless you r travelling from Srinagar or Port Blair ?

I once had a similar problem with my Indigo air ticket booked via clear trip. When I got in touch with clear trip they informed me that the name should exactly match the name in the ID proof else I would not be allowed to check in. I couldn’t risk going ahead without the name change so made the necessary payment eventually to get the name corrected

bro but now the fare has gone way too high and it is a non refundable ticket!……. Jet Airways says they can do it but for 1500rs

It is my personal experience at Bangalore (KIA)

At the time of entry they asked for the ticket and an ID proof…it was just to ensure that correct person is entering…since he was a simple security guard not very much educated so that think it will be a problem as the INITIAL name is correct and he wont read it word by word…rather pronounce the name from ticket and then read it in ID.

Second, at the time of collecting boarding pass they didnt even ask for an ID…they just asked if I was having one and when I affirmed the staff gave the pass.

so I dont think it is going to be an issue.

Take the risk. Reach airport early. If there is any big issue then pay there and have it corrected. CISF people will allow you inside, in the worst case, with little explanation saying you never noticed it and will get it corrected in the counter. Just pretend u r unaware of the mistake earlier.
